“As a building? ehhhh. I don't understand the hype.”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

Travelled here on tram 2 specifically to this site based on the TA reviews. Disappointed. There wasn't a performance for us to spectate. So just left with the architecture...we had time to roam around...Lots of material (wood, tiles, stone) that don't perform a function, it's purely decorative and not functional. Maybe I'm too much of a purist and functionalist, but I was in no way amused.

The building itself is a major attraction. Great are of various periods. Entry is half price for 65+, free for those 70 and over.

“Art in many ways”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

I was here once during my travel in Budapest. It's a real treasure box :) The building has many faces. There's a huge concert hall, a treather for dance, a museum, an excellent restaurant and many others. I could spant a halfday here with lot of fun! Give a try it if you are at Budapest!

“Be a royal member for a short time”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Walking inside this huge, naturally well lightened building gives you for few moments the feeling of being a member of the royal family. Hundreds of paintings on the wall of local artists
give you some idea of how royal family daily life looked like, how wealthy they were and what beautiful view they had out of their windows.
