This hotel is by far the best we have ever stayed in. It definitely lives up to the 5 star rating. Rooms were luxurious, spacious and modern. This hotel is located on the Pest (pronounced Peshhhhhht apparently) side which is only a short walk to Chain Bridge and Buda. Bar and restraunt staff were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. The fitness and spa facilities were perfect for a relaxing night.

Room Tip: Any room is excellent!

We were very impressed with the Iberostar Hotel. You could tell it was nearly brand new, with very modern furnishings. Everything was great, the bed, bathroom, shower, a/c, etc.

A few things that could be improved:
1. we were in an interior room and the inside of the hotel is very brightly lit. The Blackout shades were worthless so our room was bright at night.
2. The internet connection is very poor. We were able to facetime back to the US but it was choppy.
3. The TV console is really nice, but it should have been designed to give easy access to the hdmi port so we could plug in our laptop to watch movies.

If they fixed the blackout curtains, we would definitely stay here again if we returned to Budapest.

Room Tip: Get a room that faces outside so you don't need the blackout curtains as much.

Stayed for 5 days as we took in all Budapest had to offer. It was the perfect get back to with out a headache location. Restaurants a block down, next to a beautiful park. The hotel was clean and everyone I. The family appreciated the red, white and black in the rooms..beds comfy, pillows great and so on.
One thing that annoyed the heck out of all of us was the glass bathroom! Yes I love my husband, but there are something's that just need a door that closes and walls you can't see through. The toilet and shower were behind glazed walls, so it wasn't a full time show all the time. My teenage boys complained about it too. Who wants to see their brother drying off when they come out of the shower?
Other than that one pet peeve (and maybe there are some people out there who enjoy it) we loved the hotel and would stay again.

Room Tip: No bad room--as far as we could tell majority looked out at park or it was off to the side.

Best experience with this hotel! We had only 2 days in Budapest so we asked the staff for suggestions. They sat with us for half hour helping plan our days there. They could not have been more spot on. Everything was beautiful and the food was great. The service of the staff was the highlight of my experience with the hotel. First class service goes a long way!! The room was beautiful with a big bathroom and a huge bed. The decor was very modern and classy. Would recommend to everyone traveling to Budapest. The staff all deserve a big raise, they were perfect!

Three of stayed in a room that was very large by european standards. The bathroom was large as well with a fabulous shower! This hotel has modern decor (black-red-white room decor with red fur throw rugs!) so if you want old europe this is not the place for you. However; if you want great customer service - we bothered the front desk endlessly for restaurant suggestions (all great!) and directions - and a great location to see both the Buda and Pest sights, I highly recommend staying here!

Found the hotel on TripAdvisor, liked the reviews and they were true!
The hotel is perfectly located on city center, close to any major attraction and you have the very nice breakfast under the trees you can see on their commercial picture, watching the children playing at the lovely fountain.
The hotel is brand new, the room was large, perfectly clean with nice view to the fountain and park.
Wifi worked well and We had no problem uploading hundreds of pictures every day. Air condition had no difficulties cooling the room while the temprature outside reached 37 degrees celsius.
A very nice and faint scent of cleanliness is present all the time in the room and at the lobby.
The spa is spotless, very relaxing and they were kind enough to keep it open for us till 23:00PM even tough it should close by 21:00PM, noe because we requested - just becaused we arrived late in the evening and asked if the spa is still open...
The crew is polite and very helpful. They even got a Taxi to pick us up by midnight from Gellert hill, to help us avoid the skin-ripping local taxis waiting there for tired tourists who wish to go back to the city.
All and all - a great bargain for the price we paid.

Room Tip: Ask for a view to the Park.
