“Errrrrrrrrrr..................”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2012

If you don't mind paying 5 star prices for a naff 3 star hotel, then this is the one for you! The staff were friendly, but seemed a little at sea. The hotel was unfinished - spa not operational, roof top bar unfinished, cinema on demand in your room not working etc etc. The cleaning wasn't really up to standard, though to give the staff their due, the rooms were so dark, it was hard to do much more than grope your way round, whilst trying not to impale yourself on the razor sharp contemporary (for that read uncomfortable) furniture crammed into a much too small space.
The all singing, all dancing electric loo was a novelty, though we did find the heated seat a little disconcerting and as for the roasting hot, heated floor in the bathroom - why this was necessary in a 40 degree heat was beyond us, but did come in handy when drying off the cossies after a trip to the thermal baths. The decor was modern but with a faintly sleazy brothel twist - engraved mirrors, carpeted walls in an unpleasant blood red and so on. The final slap in the face was the £70.00 mini bar bill on our departure - we hadn't been near the damned thing!

Dear Sarah,

Thanks for your review, and sorry to read that the Buddha Bar Klotild Palace was not so much your taste.

We are happy to inform you that the Spa is operationnal, and sorry to confirm that we decided not to open Kltild Lounge & Bar on the roof before September, excepted 20th of August for a special ''firework early party''.
I have immediately informed our Housekeeping Executive Manager about your concerns for the cleaning of your room, and sorry again to read the lighting was too dark to your taste, as well as the furnitures and decor of the bathroom. About the heating of the bathrooms floor, a simple call at reception would have been immediately followed by a maintenance visit to your room to stop it, should ut be your preference not to have heated floor.

Reading your review, I also looked at which room may have had an invoice of 70£ for minibar, and I am sorry to inform I did not find any, the maximum amount invoiced since the opening of our Hôtel 7 weeks ago is 40£. May I mention that minibars are all provided with a price list of every single item, in order to inform our guests about price of anything they would be interested in. Our prices are up to our understanding very fair for a 5 stars property, and we hope we will have other opportunitie to make your next stay better.

An amazing hotel, new, funky and up to day technology. Located in the centre of Budapest. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a variety of dishes.
We had been treated to fancy welcome drinks at the Buddha bar when arrived and then were escorted to our room.
Great experience, strongly recommended.
Thank you for the fantastic time!

Recently opened and staff both well informed and most keen to please. Ultra modern. Comfortable. Excellent location for city visit without car. Would return. Spa and pool not yet open.

This hotel is quite nice all around, being quite new it features plush interiors, nice Asia inspired decors, and plenty of high tech features. Our room had a 50" LCD TV, with a media panel that allows to plug in your own equipment (a laptop in our case). The speakers for the TV etc. are built into the ceiling above the bed, which gives it a much better sound. WiFi is also free and fast.

The service has been impeccable. The staff is very attentive, and everyone seems to be very nice and looking to make one's stay as pleasant as they can.

You do get all the amenities of a 5-star hotel, and service and quality of furnishings that exceed most of the 5-star properties I've stayed in before. I only wish the hotel had a pool - all the other amenities are there.

Oh, and of course Buddha Bar is there - as usual a pleasant place to have a few drinks.

This hotel has recently opened and is well worth a visit. The staff were all very attentive and it was great to hear the history of the hotel and see their pride whilst telling it. It has a sister building on the opposite side of the road which has not been renovated, so you could see how good the restoration to this building is.
Disappointed that all the facilities were not yet available. However one of the staff gave us a tour of the rooms and roof bar. Much to my surprise every room was finished to the same high quality and standards just improving on size as you went up in grade. The rooms are beautifully finished with lots of storage and facilities . The fridge was two large draws you pulled out and was well stocked with prices that matched ( but not any more than any five star hotel ).
The bath room was big and had fantastic shower, and bath. The toilet is amazing, hot toilet seat with many remote facilities. Towels were beautifully and soft. Everything was exceptionally clean.

Welcome drink on arrival and chocolates in room were a nice touch.
Breakfast was included , which was good as it was expensive. Great choice and all freshly cooked from the menu. They were happy to refill at no extra cost and also added mushrooms and tomatoes to my order at no extra cost. They also gave us a bag to take away pastry's wich were delicious. We also ate in the cafe one evening food was high quality and the setting a comfortable and good service.
Spa prices were more than I pay in London and the facilities were not all up and running , also looked a bit small. I was pleased that they offered discount after I commented but to late for me to try it out. However did get a fantastic massage at the Szechenyi Baths and Pool, worth a try.
Had a great time and would certainly go back.
Thank you to all the lovely staff who made our stay special particularly Andre( Not sure of the spelling)

Dear Guest,

Thanks for the time you granted us posting a review on TripAdvisor grand traveller specialists.
Our staff has been selected for kindness, smile and positive attitude to always try to help as much as possible.

Spa has been facing a technical problem in the japanese bath, so we can only access the Gym and massage area at the moment, but will be solved in a few days, and definitely be fully available this week, with not only the bath, but also finnish sauna, infra sauna, steam bath and relaxation heated beds.

We are happy that you also had a nice experience in Budapest, in one of the most famous bath Property, thermal water is a unique offer here in this country.

We wish you soon good Olymic Games in London and wish to welcome you back to enjoy our summer, between 25 and 35 degrees celsius since more than one month that makes as usual hungarian holiday time at this season a lot of outside pleasures like baths, Danube walks along and terraces.

Yours
