This hotel is stunning. No surprises the decor has an oriental theme, which is beautiful, but can be a little dark in places! Didn't get chance to eat an evening meal as the restaurant was fully booked, but breakfast was delicious. The staff were helpful and gave good service. The best a part was the rooms. They had a fully stocked minibar, nice Nespresso machine too. But the bathroom was amazing. Never before have I seen a loo with a remote control! You have to see it! A control to lift and close the seat, jet washes and air blowers! Location was good for seeing the city, was a 30 min taxi ride to the F1 circuit though, even more on the Sunday, so would think about a closer hotel if that's the reason for your visit.

excellent menu of cocktails and executed to a very high standard, such a pity that was all I could be positive about!
we were there at 11.30pm on Saturday eve and there were only about 20 people in the huge bar. Music was very loud and lacked atmosphere (possibly because it was so quiet).
The worst prawn crackers were served with our drinks, tasted of stale/burnt oil...
Waitress service was sharp and very proficient, although staff did look a bit bored!
such a shame for an iconic bar, have been to a couple of Buddha-Bars around the world, however, this one was definitly lacking!!!

Dear Annamarie,

Thank you very much for your time, reviewing your visit to the Buddha-Bar Lounge. We are delighted to hear that our cocktail selection captured your heart! The Buddha-Bar signature cocktails are all there to amaze you but a few local specialities highlight the menu.
We are sorry to hear that your evening was less busy than you expected, Summer can be a bit quiet due to the plenty of open-air bars in the city. We would like to apologize if you should have felt less attention from the Lounge staff, this is not the standard behavior and we are constanlty training our staff to assure the highest level of services.

We do hope that we will have another chance soon to welcome you back to the Buddha-Bar Budapest and hopefully this time you will be staying with us at the hotel as well!

Kind Regards,
Eniko Bak

Had a 3-night stay in an Executive room with breakfast (£85 per night with a deal). Got upgraded to a junior suite on arrival so a great deal for the price!

The room (and everything in it) was huge. Enormous square bath which could fit a whole family. It also had a lovely rainfall shower. Some basics were missing though - the main one being a towel rail or hooks in the bathroom. Also no soap dish by the two sinks. The room had a walk in wardrobe but no iron or ironing board. These were provided when we asked for them.

Modern design in the bedroom and in the hotel generally but we felt the style was a bit behind the times now. Also a bit style over substance - the seating in the rooms and in the lobby bar is not particularly comfortable.

Only other slightly negative point from our stay was coming back to out room after 4pm to find housekeeping in the room so we headed down to the bar for a drink while she finished. Found this a bit surprising when we had vacated the room for breakfast at 9.30am then left the hotel by 10.15am.

We tried out the spa which was quite nice but not open until 1pm. This and the gym is small for the size of the hotel but no one else was there when we visited. There is no swimming pool but it has 2 small saunas, a steam room, a small infinity pool (ideal for 2 people) and a plunge pool.

Large choice for breakfast and very good hot breakfast cooked to order (fresh and hot).

Overall it was a good stay and great value for money at the price we paid.

We do appreciate your kind comments regarding the towel rail and the soap dish in the bathroom, these details are just being solved to provide the most of comfort. My sister and I stayed there for 5 days. Such a wonderful experience. The hotel is super clean, modern high-end elegance and staff that just could not do enough for you. And they do it with a smile.

The room was spacious , very elegant & high-tech details that made it fun. The only thing we could not find is an electric outlet in the bathroom to connect our hair curler.

Location is brilliant and very safe. We had no concerns walking around the area at midnight.

The bartender Richard is brilliant in making the best cocktails tailored to your personal taste. We also tried the food in the Buddha Bar. It was done to perfection.

We will come back here on our trip next year. Thanks to the staff for making our stay so memorable.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms are small. Have to pay 30 Euros more for the bigger rooms on floors above but is wel...

What can I say? For my vacation in Budapest I personally choose this hotel among different options (as Corinthia), this because for me Buddha Bar used to be a guarantee of quality, style, attention to customers. At this time I'm totally disappointed about the lack of service (bad cleaned room, not prepared for the night, asked for missing amenities 3 times, bad manner of the receptionist) and most of all about the unpleasant and no costumer-oriented attitude of the staff (most of all a woman in the reception who should be a supervisor) after we kindly pointed out all these things. I can also go ahead with details but they are very embarassing for her and I retain a right to write to the manager directly. Budapest has lot of luxury accomodations (also for less money) and for sure I won't never ever come back here or recommend this hotel to someone who expects a warm welcome in Budapest. What a shame for Buddha Bar name!

This was our first time to Budapest and we chose to stay at Buddha Bar Hotel Klotild Palace. It was absolutely fantastic – they truly live up to their slogan “Not just another hotel, it’s a lifestyle.

From arrival to departure, it exceeded our expectation on all levels.

The Hotel location is fantastic, right in the middle of the city with the main shopping street 20 meters from the hotel.

The hotel premises are out of this world, its like entering another realm. The dimly lit corridors and red colours make for a very relaxing atmosphere. The room we had was on the 5th floor with spectacular views of liberty hill. Room amenities were superb, with wifi included in the price.
The Buddha bar restaurant and bar were really good, the cuisine was a blend between traditional Asian and Thai food. Their sushi is highly recommendable.

We were treated to a selection of cocktails fit for a king and queen in the famed Buddha Bar. Our bartender Atiila – is a man who is exceptionally good at what he does and tailors each cocktail to our wishes and preferred spirits.

If it’s a weekend away or a longer stay, I can absolutely recommend Buddha bar hotel Klotild Palace. Truly a fantastic experience.
