This is a very convenient hotel located about a block away from an entrance to the underground metro. It's also walking distance to the long pier where all the riverboats dock for their Danube cruses. That makes it just the right spot if you're on one of these cruises and want to book your own "extension" on either side, staying more than the one day allotted on the cruise itinerary since it's not enough. (We stayed two nights prior). The hotel is also short walking distance to a lot of restaurants located on Raday street. Hotel price includes an extensive hot/cold breakfast.

I stayed in this hotel when attending a conference at the Cornivus University of Budapest. It was very convenient, being about 2 minutes walk away from the main entrance to the university. It is also only 2 minutes walk across a little park to the nearest metro station, and only a minute further to the bank of the River Danube. The hotel itself doesn’t have open views, being on a quiet back street, but the most attractive parts of Budapest are just a short walk away. The breakfast was good, the bed was comfortable and there was a good – free – wifi connection throughout the hotel. There is a sauna, and a pool and jacuzzi in a combined unit, but the pool is really tiny – not really for swimming in. The lobby and bar area are fairly small and with a dark décor, which makes it look rather sombre as you enter: however, the facilities and convenience of the hotel compensate for this shortcoming.

Room Tip: Upper floor

We chose this hotel because of the great TA rating and we didn't regret it. I suggest it to everyone exploring the Hungarian capital.
First, the excellent location. It is around the corner in a side street at the end of the pedestrian and most famous Budapest street - Vaci ut.
Across the street is the famous Budapest central market hall, with nice stalls selling fruits, vegetables, meat,...and with great fast food stalls on the upper gallery with Hungarian cooking specialities. A perfect chance to get a great, delicious and reasonably priced meal.
Next to it is the Elizabeth bridge leading directly to the famous Gellert Spa. Crossing the bridge on foot great photo panoramic opportunities. Reaching the Spa in around 10 min.
The central Budapest is on the opposite side, and you are already there.
The lobby is small, but pretty efficient while checking in and out. The rooms are enough in size, not to small, and very nicely decorated. As one traveler mentioned, the bed is extremely comfortable.
The bathroom OK. Good sanitary ware with a whirlpool bath (didn't have time to use it)and all necessary toileteries. The only minus, no bath cabin or shower curtain, so when you shower the entire bathrooms becomes wet. Besides that, there was a water waste leaking problem.
Another minus is no coffee given for the room coffee maker, only tea. When we asked by phone to bring us coffee bags, they simply answered that for our room type it is not in the price???
The breakfast is fair, good choice of Hungarian salami, cheese, but little bread and pastry choice.
Good wifi signal in the lobby, but weak or none in the room.
Travel tip for cake lovers. When you exit the hotel turn left, and then left again (a street parallel to Vaci ut) and after 100 meters you'll find a little cake factory with some seating area. They produce cakes for celebrations, delivery,..etc. You can taste great cakes and have a nice coffee for at least half the price of downtown prices (Gerbaud for example...)

Right by the bridge and Danube, you will find yourself enjoying the evening strolls amongst the cafés and shops. Staff was acceptable. Beds are very comfy and the rooms spacious. Spa tub with shower was a luxury surprise. Nice swimming pool.

Only a stones throw from the Vaci and a 100 metres from the indoor market, but quietly situated on a side street. Close to all transportation and a large selection of restaurants. Has clean, modern rooms, although a bit small. All staff is very friendly, breakfast is more than sufficient (kept me going all day) and the sauna and jaccuzi were just what I needed after walking all day.

Room Tip: Not much of a view even on the street side, but quiet.

A small hotel that is very big on customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, the reception staff were always so very helpful. We were given a room upgrade and the room was lovely, high ceilings, huge windows and very airy. The bed was, apart from my own, the most comfortable I have slept in. Bathroom compact but adequate with a whirlpool bath, absolutely loads of white fluffy towels (10/10) We used the jacuzzi several times, lovely at the end of a busy day...no extra cost. Yes it is small, but it is a small hotel. Breakfast was fine, would have liked more choice of fresh fruit please. Breakfast, if ordered the night before can be taken in your room, no extra charge....where does that ever happen? The hotel could not be better situated, close to good selection of restaurants, hop on hop off bus, Gellert spa. Budapest is a beautiful city with so much to see and do and the fact that you were going back to such a lovely hotel at the end of a busy day was fantastic. Please keep up the good work.

Room Tip: We stayed in 201 spacious and lots of windows

We stayed here from 20 to 22 June on a weekend break. Having read the reviews about breakfast here I have to concur all alas are true . Management need to deal with the problem urgently. As we here for a weekend break it didnt matter but i would not be happy if I was staying longer. Aside from this we ate dinner here and found it quite good on the first night of our arrival. Rest of hotel staff are lovely and could not be nicer. Manager was great have to say runs his reception with excellence, Will higly recommend this hotel as good value and great location to any one. Its a nice hotel. Pros...... its location......CONS ..... need to hire an extra person to keep breakfast food restocked for guests!

Room Tip: A room on the upper floor is a must had a lovely rain shower in room 403 .
