We had read other's reviews of Szamos, and luckily found it on our first day of exploring Budapest. We were worried that it was out of our price range, but everyone was welcoming and the menu was fun and seemed reasonable. We loved their desserts of course. But we also tried their soup and goulash. We returned several times during our stay in Budapest. A great find!!

What a fantastic place. I had Almond cake which was just fantastic. Coffee with vanilla milk was delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit. 3 cakes and drinks cost us 5400 ft which included service charge.

We went there during our first morning in Budapest and had the gourmet breakfast. The service was excellent and when they bring you the breakfast which included eggs, sausage, bread, croissant, orange juice and coffee at first you think it won't be enough but it was!!! And the price wasn't that high for its service and quality of food! Highly suggested!!!

A bit commercial, The aesthetics were beautiful, and the flavors were amazing.... I especially liked the florentines, and one of the walnut chocolates. My daughter fell for the cookies! My husband could get gluten free chocolate.
They offer chocolate making classes, reasonably priced, but you need to schedule in advance... our schedule didn't quite work... but the person who does the English classes seemed amazingly nice and accomodating... I will schedule a class for my daughters if they want it. (Four people is enough to schedule a private class, max six).

Good value/price ratio, Friendly staff. Very good taste pancake (with spinach), best hot chocolate(dense), good cakes.
