We stayed here for 3 days for our anniversary. We had a very nice room, the bed was comfortable. Marta at the front desk was extremely helpful with things to see, buses, shopping etc. Its right in the heart of everything, you can walk everywhere. Its right on the river so you can see everything lit up at night.

Room Tip: every room is nice

Enjoyed my brief stay at this hotel, every room faces on to the Danube river with a great view...
Only DISSAPOINTMENT is it's one the only hotels I have stayed in that still charges for Internet.....it's amazing you can go to any coffee shop and get wifi for free, go to this hotel and pay hundreds of euros and no free internet

Anyway still a good place stay and beautiful evenings on the deck over the Danube

Room Tip: Every room faces the danube

Stayed at this hotel in May 2014. All the rooms have a view of the Danube and Buda. Good location as the tram stop is out front and it is a short walk from the subway that goes to Heroes Square. Staff is helpful to point out things to see in the wonderful city of Budapest.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a view.

My first visit to Budapest was made all the more special when I opened the curtains in my room (first floor - # 123) to reveal the stunning panoramic view of the Danube and historic sites. I can't compare the Marriott to any other hotel in the area for comfort or amenities, but I can recommend it based on my memorable 4-day experience. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. The food was excellent. The hotel is cleverly architected so that every room - including the meeting rooms - offer a 'to die for' view. The restaurant/bar/terrace is lovely. Other good eateries in pleasant walking distance. It's a beautiful city and the Marriott was fabulous. The bed and pillows need a special mention - incredibly comfortable and sleep inducing.. I thoroughly recommend it.

I recently stayed at the Budapest Marriott and at best I can say it is OK. The first thing which happens at check in someone tries to sell you the upgraded package – internet, breakfast, etc. What they don’t tell you is the internet is free in the lobby.
If it is a business trip during the summer – find another place to stay. All they care about is the people from the Viking River Cruise. I had a breakfast meeting with some customers and there was no food. Really, it was gone. I was embarrassed. The people from the cruise ate everything in sight and Marriott was in no hurry to replenish the food. I had to pour my own coffee and get milk from another table.
I said something at check out and all I got was “I’m sorry”. So if you are going to Budapest and not with the Viking Cruise people, find another hotel during the summer months.
