Good location, professional, kind and helpfull staff. Nice, clean, enough big room, excellent food.
We willingly back to Budapest and this hotel. It's romantic, quiet hotel, especially good for people who look for silence, relax and best point to start visiting Budapest

Friendly and helpful receptionists. Breakfasts excellent choice of cooked, cold meats, cheese, variety of breads and pastries, cereals, fruit, yoghurts to start the day in a pleasant dining area off reception. The lady dining manager does a magnificent job of keeping the food replenished. Quiet, small comfortable room and en suite, TV, tea making facility, wardrobe and room safe. The housekeeping was a great let down, probably the worst of my travels, towels not folded, mugs and glasses not washed and tea bags etc not replenished - apart from folding duvets there was little evidence of the room having been visited between morning and evening. Our friends reported the same. Come on Ambra it would not take much to up your game

Room Tip: Avoid sloping ceilings on top floor if you are tall

Stayed for 4 nights. Best way to describe is to say travelodge in budapest. Not 4 star by uk standards but clean, good size room.free safe and good bathroom.breakfast continental with decent choice and coffee all day from machine. Picked this hotel for location.10 mins to opera and metro,10 mins to main centre e.g hard rock cafe.(walkinh)It is on the street with clubs, pubs etc so can get noisy, plus spar directly across road so noise from early deliveries. If your a light sleeper you may want to pick elsewhere. Staff friendly and 24 hr reception. Quality hotel for the price with great location for our travelling needs. If your like us using hotel for sleep and base to explore from then this hotel is for you.

Its a standard 4 star hotel. All facilities in room are good. Though restaurant works only for breakfast. Its location has a lot of coffe shops etc around. SPAR just opposite for small needs.

Very good and friendly staff.
Regards to Mr. Gaboy and his collegues who helped me a lot!

I stayed at the Best Western Hotel Ambra for three nights this past weekend. The location is excellent. The rooms are a good size. The staff is friendly.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of noise that filters in from the street. My air conditioning was not working so I needed to keep the window open for fresh air. I didn't sleep much between midnight and 03:00 due to street noise.

The breakfast is disappointing, so much so that I finally chose to eat out on one of the three mornings. On two mornings, my friend and I arrived to breakfast with an hour left of service. Fruit was depleted to a handful of grapes, two bananas, and three wrinkled kiwis. A small mound of smoked cheese was on offer, but was the only offer for cheese. Lack of selection of yogurt - only kefir remained.

The beds are uncomfortable. Hard, and not much cushioning. My room was not cleaned after the first night.

The lack of attention to detail, makes me wonder why this hotel has four stars.

Room Tip: Don't.

Returning to the Ambra after an absence of two years – mainly due to the fact that the Hotel Parlament is no longer part of the Best Western chain – I was surprised how little had changed.

Obviously, the benefits of location remain the same.

On the plus side, there was now a kettle in my room with a wide selection of teas etc. available from the restaurant.

However, the towels were as bad as previously and reduced in number from 4 to 3 to 2 over my first three nights in the hotel.

Room cleaning was done in the late afternoon and was very perfunctory taking around 1 minute - (bed linen not changed; carpet not cleaned; glasses not washed properly; etc.).

Breakfast is variable – the buffet section is usually good but the hot selection is not always good – one day it was just eggs or not.

If you are a Diamond or Platinum BW Member do not expect the benefits which you should get – fruit basket, free upgrades, etc. I always got these at the Parlament which is why I mourn it no longer being BW!
