Very nice hotel, The room was more a suite than anything else, a huge main room with a kitchen and a table for six, with a nice terrace overlooking the garden(room 20). The Hotel is very quiet, and the staff friendly and helpful. Another good point is the location, next to bars and clubs like the Moulin Rouge. Last point: the price for such a room was very reasonnable (less than 200 euros)... in fact you feel like at home, a nice home..

I spent 1 night at this hotel. Room with beautiful view, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, tasty breakfast. What else do you need? Service at hotel reception was OK. Parking is just across the street or 2 park places just beside the hotel entrance. I do recommend to everyone who want to spent some days in Budapest - that is by the way a wonderful city!

My wife and I travelled to Budapest for a long weekend as part of a BA/driveline getaway deal - and the Andrassy was part of the package. A relatively small hotel, the service was great - even a glass of champagne on arrival - with staff being particularly friendly and helpful (English language not a problem). The room was spacious and clean, and had everything one could need - except tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included (hot and cold available) and was very nice. We chose not to dine in the hotel as it seemed more expensive than outside restaurants; there were very many within walking distance. There were no problems in travelling into the city and back (approx 1.5 miles to the Danube) the public transport (bus and metro) was fantastic - clean and frequent at all times of the day - and free if you purchase a 'Budapest Card' which gives discounts on lots of experiences. We would certainly return.

I did not know what to expect when I arrived at Mamaison Andrassy. I was pleasantly surprised. It is an intimate hotel - decorated in a modern style. Pleasant and clean. My room was a nice size with lovely big windows and a small balcony. I felt comfortable and safe. My stay was 11 days. I absolutely loved the location - I was within walking distance of
so many wonderful things - felt like I had my own apartment in a beautiful residential neighborhood. If I could not walk to where I wanted to go the Metro was just outside the door. I would definitely stay here again.

Generally the Hotel was terrific, only thing I have to indicate was that the particular room I stayed in was VERY VERY small. Most of the other rooms are fairly large... when booking make sure you insist on one of the larger rooms

The hotel is very well located on the Pest side (my favorite) by the fantastic Andrassy Boulevard, connecting the Danube to the museum, heroes square and the biggest park and historical baths of Budapest.
Surrounded by fantastic palaces/hotel particuliers and secession (art nouveau) buildings and houses, as well of course Ambassies which makes the location really safe to walk by night.
Bus line 105 brings you wherever you want if you prefer to move like local people do.
Room decoration could be improved as it is very classic/international (could be anywhere) and not matching the beauty of the neighborhood nor the secession period which makes me prefer Pest to Buda too much like Prague (this is nevertheless a compliment...)
I clearly recommend this hotel if you want a good value well located hotel though.

Rooms: I got a free upgrade when I checked in so I had a beautiful contemporary designed room with a balcony. Rooms are spotless and I thought the design was really nice. The hotel is in a quiet area and there were no disturbances.

Location: The hotel is located about a block from the metro (2-3 minutes) and is a convenient location. It's on one of the biggest roads in the city so safety was not an issue. However, it is in a residential area so you will find that there are not many restaurants or shops nearby. For lunch we walked about 2 blocks towards the city centre and tried out a bunch of the places near a circular road (you’ll know what I mean if you go there). The customers were mainly locals so the food there was quite a bit cheaper than in more central areas.

Breakfast: Breakfast at the restaurant costs 20 euros per person! (not a typo) The selection had some unique items such as salmon but was quite small - in short, breakfast there is a rip off. If you are cheap (like me), you can pay 5 euro for the breakfast deal (one or two pastries and coffee/tea). However, the restaurant itself is quite famous and the food there was great. If you are looking to splurge it is a good place to have dinner.

Value: Excluding the breakfast, I find that the hotel offered excellent value. Fantastic rooms, low prices and great service. Would definitely visit again!
