I am here in Budapest for the third time having dental treatment that is going very well!
However this hotel is terrible why you ask? It's because on both mornings so far at 8am work was being carried out RIGHT outside our room window. Day one scraping and banging with two guys suspended on ropes , day two cigarette break while hanging four floors up it's like cirque d'soliel but not in a good way! On complaining to the management and expressing our dissatisfaction we got nowhere weren't offered an alternative room and we are not best pleased right now. Only for the fact We have pre paid for the room I would be out of here this morning. As it is we are in a room with the curtains closed and the sun shining for the first time in a while I am really not a happy camper and with more dental procedures to look forward to!
Giving this hotel anything better than terrible kills me normally but they deserve this and anything positive won't move me to increase the score I just can't bring myself to do it!!
The location was one of the reasons we picked this hotel for our third visit but are very disappointed at the way management have handled our complaint.

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologise for not exceeding your expectations. The satisfaction of our clients is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future.

Please find some informations about the work we have done. The outside facade of the building and the window farmes have been repainted (already finished). The works did not cause any noises, and the guys did not start working befor 8.00. We haven't receive any complaints from other guests regarding the works only from you and from your partner (see his post by the nickname skydiver18000).

I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.

They are doing construction outside on ALL floors and wake us up at 7:30am every morning. when we made a comment to management, his words were... "it is a hotel, it is not so early to us".. What that's it?? "It is not early to us"??? We are here on Holiday and "THIS IS EARLY TO US"!!
SO IF YOU LIKE YOUR SLEEP IN THE MORNING AND ARE ON HOLIDAY... DO NOT STAY HERE!! We will NOT be back here again!!

Room Tip: There are NO quiet rooms in the early morning...

We just returned home from a week stay here. It's a very nice unassuming 3 star Best Western hotel. We've stayed at Best Western properties all over Europe and they have to meet certain qualities and standards before they can fly the Best Western banner. They're always nice places and provide just about everything you could ask for.

The service here is second to none. The men and women working the desk are friendly and helpful, ready to answer your questions about seeing their beautiful city.

The rooms are a bit small but everything is there: free Wi-Fi, TV with two English news channels, and a comfortable bed to crash on after a loooong day of sightseeing.

Breakfast is a small added charge and offers everything you normally get with buffets of this type, plus you can have fresh eggs to order.

Once you get oriented, you'll find the location is damn near perfect. You cross the Erzsebet Bridge and you're on the pedestrian walking street that takes you through the city.

The Pantan Bar and Grill is located a few short steps from the hotel and has wonderful local cuisine.

This was our first trip to Budapest and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the friendly staff could not have been more helpful. it is well situated to visit attractions on both sides of the river. One small niggle was that the windows in the bedrooms didn't seem to open so it was a bit hotter than ideal but id din't detract from a very pleasant few days and I would recommend it to others. The small restaurant downstairs provided a reasonable quality continental style breakfast to start the day.

My partner and I stayed at the Best Western for five nights in February. When we arrived the receptionist was incredibly friendly and even ordered take out pizza for us, as it was too late to go out. The room was a lovely size, very clean and warm. I always like the fact that a hotel has coffee making facilities in the room, as I need my coffee! There was also a TV, but we didn't use that as there were no English channels. The shower was good also, kept nice and warm with good pressure. Our only problem with the room was the fact that we were next to a church which kept ringing its bells, so avoid the back if you are a light sleeper.... but it didn't cause too much bother. The main sites of Budapest are across the bridge, which is about a ten minute walk away, so the location is very convenient. The hotel is on the right side of the bridge for the Castle district, and there are a couple of restaurants nearby if you don't want to walk far. All in all, this was a great place to stay.

Best Western Hotel Orion is very conveniently located between Szechenyi lanchid and Erzsebet hid a bit lower Buda Castle. The hotel staff are very polite and hospitable. The room was on the 2nd floor. Windows were faced to a small quiet street, so there is no noise from the street. It was warm in the room due to heating by air conditioning, though the temperature was minus2C in the city. The room was very clean and was attended by all the amenities. The room had a bath instead of a shower cabin and a hairdryer. There was also an electric kettle with tea, coffee and sugar. During our stay at the hotel we used electric sauna, which is located on the 3rd floor. All major attractions of of Buda and Pest are within walking distance from the hotel.
