Hotel is in nice & peaceful part of Buda. People using public transport need some time to adjust- especially during late hours. Room small but functional. Bathroom also small but clean. Good wifi. Staff bit silent but attentive.

Very beautiful bridge views.
Overall goof experience & would love to stay here again.

We stayed three days in Budapest awaiting our Danube River Viking cruise. The location of Hotel Orion was ideal. We walked to the Gellart Spa, up to the old Capitol with all the monuments and museums, over to the indoor market and were able to walk to the Viking boat to visit, shop, and tour with our travel mates on the other side of the river. It is conveniently located between the Chain Bridge and Elisabeth Bridge. The rooms were very clean, efficient and quiet. The morning breakfast was one of the best in our trip through Europe--variety, fresh, delicious, and served with excellence. We felt very safe and welcome at this location. The on-site management was a plus in making us feel welcome and appreciated.

The hotel was easy to get to and provided a great central location to explore Budapest. You can easily walk to major attractions from the hotel and it is close to the Elizabeth Bridge. The hotel is very near the Buda Castle/Castle Hill and that area was under construction while we were there (05/04-05/07). The construction noise did not impact my wife's and mine stay at all. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean, had a comfortable king size bed, and had a full bath (little small, but worked fine). Enjoyed our stay and our time in Budapest.

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2014. Its a very small hotel tucked away 5 minutes from the Elisabeth Bridge and about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Pest.

The staff absolutely make this hotel. They are very welcoming and being such a small hotel, they get to know their guests. The rooms are newly renovated and we had tea and coffee facilities as well as a fridge. The bathrooms are very small but perfectly functional and the hotel is very clean.

We had breakfast twice in the hotel and the eggs are cooked to order which was good.

We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Thank you all for making us so welcome.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as there is building work going on out the front (which we did not hear).

We recently stayed at this very nice boutique hotel in Budapest for two nights. The staff were welcoming, and the room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The breakfast which was chargeable but not expensive was very nice with a good choice, and eggs cooked to order. The hotel was in a convenient location for the Gellert Baths and the funicular railway and the historic buildings at the top. It was also very close to the river Danube, and two bridges which cross to the other side of this amazing city, with the Parliament buildings and St Stephen's Basilica amongst many other beautiful sights. There is a small pub just up the road serving very nice food at reasonable prices, which we ate at twice and would recommend. We thought the hotel was very good value for a comfortable stay in a convenient and quiet location, and would definately stay here again if returning to Budapest.

I were in this hotel for 3 nights with a family. The location is very comfortable for people who love walking. If you are person of public transport - you got a problem because you have to change tram at least twice to get anywhere in the city. Other good reason to stay here is very friendly and English speaking staff.
Instead mentioned above - small rooms, poor breakfast, old bathroom, bad voice isolation.
And most important - you have check if all the works in the street were finished. If it steel work in the street - take distance from this area.
For summary - nice hotel for his price but only after finishing work in the street.
