“Wonderful in every way”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

The view from our room of the Danube and Parliment building wad unexcelled. It was breathtaking and almost made us want to stay in the room. The place was clean and well laid out. The most comfortable beds we had in Europe. The staff were most helpful, scheduling tours for us and giving great recommendations. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is worth a trip to Budapest for the hotel

Room Tip: We had room 83 but similar views on other floors

We booked this hotel based on Tripadvisor ratings and reviews. Access by car is reasonably easy but could present a challenge if the area for cars in front of the hotels is full. If arranged before, the car can be kept in the hotel garage (quite small). Access to the car is available at all times. Service is good, some of the staff better than others - on the whole very good. We found the staff helpful when asking directions or any other tourist related questions. The view from the room is stunning - the river and all the buildings along it are just there in front of you. The room itself (we had a corner room) is spacious and clean. The bed arrangement were 2 beds placed together - not ideal but quite acceptable. The hotel is located just outside a tram stop that can take you to the metro and the rest of Budapest. The hotel is also located just underneath Buda castle - easy enough to walk up the hill if you are so inclined. Breakfast was very good - many options to choose from - including freshly made fried eggs etc. Based on what we could see on offer in Budapest, I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room - we think they have more space.

Every room has a view of the river and the lights of the city @ night. Staff persons were helpful and pleasant. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is very nice. I feel this hotel is a very good value. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter and give a better overall view. Corner room facing the Parliament building...

Small hotel right on Danube overlooking parliament and chain bridge. Could just sit in the room and just look out day and night. Staff very helpful with recommendations for dinner which were great. Couldn't have chosen better. Great location to walk to everything.

All I can say of this hotel is that it looks as it had been built and located on purpose to have a wonderful view of both the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. At least is what we saw from our room on the fifth floor. Breakfast room and food was fine and so were the people at reception trying their best to inform us of the best places to see during our stay.
Good place to spend a city break.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel ideally situated across from the Parliament building and minutes (and an easy walk) to Chain Bridge. Breakfasts are great with a wonderful selection of items (eggs, breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, etc). The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious with breathtaking day and night views of the Danube and Pest side. Staff is very helpful, friendly and for us, parking was directly outside the front door. (We did go just prior to high tourist season). Rooms were quiet, peaceful and we found it to be a great value.

Room Tip: It appears there are three rooms per floor, we had a center room on the fourth floor, didn't see...

LOCATION: On the Buda side, which it turned out was my favored side. It was quieter, quainter, and I enjoyed looking over the Donau at the bustling city beyond. If you don’t mind uphill hikes there are wonderful shops and restaurants to be discovered in the village-like atmosphere in the neighborhood of Buda Castle and Mathias Church. Also, there are many spas (with more local than tourist flavor) within easy walking distance.

VIEWS: From our upper floor we enjoyed fabulous views right on the Danube, with clear sight of the ornate bridges and the House of Parliament. The windows were large, unobstructed, and low to the floor so that even on a drizzly day, or when I had to stay in and work, I could sit in an armchair at the little table in the window bay and take in the activities and architecture of the ancient city around me.

HOTEL: The lobby and breakfast room/bar left a bit to be desired… very cramped and not as tastefully decorated and updated as the rooms. This review comes a little late, so I can’t remember how the breakfast was. I believe there was reliable internet, that the staff was very accommodating, and our room was spacious and clean. We had a car, and managed to acquire a couple of parking tickets during our short visit for not knowing where to park it.
