We booked the hotel via our travel agent but I contacted the concierge via email (see on their website) and they arranged for us transport from the airport to the hotel an the same from hotel to airport at a normal price (choice between LIMO, mercedes E, regular cab,...).

The concierge is pretty much the go to guy, he answered all our question, booked our tours,....

The breakfast is outstanding, the same applies to the restaurant (however we did not try the NOBU, they have two restaurant)

The SPA is small but efficient.

Service was outstanding.

There is a reason it is a leading of the world hotel.

the location is perfect to start walking.....

I recommend it.

Room Tip: 7 floors non smoking room

I stayed at this hotel from 28th Dec until 2n Jan. On arrival we were greeted like friends and were given a free room upgrade to a beautiful room with amazing views. The breakfast was included and the fast amount of choice was superb. Th staff were all frienly and the bar staff were wonderful. Only down side was the temp of the water in the pool, but the spa was very good. New year in Budapest was wonderful.

Room Tip: ask for a good view

Nice hotel. Quite old fashioned and bathrooms could do with an update. Pay tv is extortionate at 60aud for 24 hours. No coffee making facilities in rooms which i found odd. You can order from room service and thy are quick plus norip off delivery fee but I like a couple of cups before I get on wih my day and it's just inconvenient.

I had stayed here frequently in the 1990's but it had been a while and I was slightly apprehensive. I was given a gorgeous smallish room overlooking the square in front and was delighted. The amenities are top notch. This had been my favorite hotel in eastern Europe 15 years ago, and the standards have not declined a notch, typical of Kempinski. Slightly bizarrely, the decore was almost unchanged but in pristine condition and is still not tired. The front desk exudes professionalism and helpfulness. Breakfast is generous. Because of its ever-so-slight location issues (it is not on the Danube), it is great value for money outside of peak business season.

Room Tip: If you can get a room at the front overlooking the park, go for it.

The title is a reference to my experience of a recent stay in the Kempinski. I found that whatever I was looking for in the hotel, and whenever I was at breakfast, the care and attention of the staff was first class.
My room for a single traveller was first class, the space was superb and the room was very well laid out. The view over the park and over to St Istvan's church was truly magnificent. There were various conferences going on in the hotel during the time I stayed there, but none of this detracted from the relaxing and welcoming care I received. I would be very happy to stay there again. Budapest is a wonderful city and the location lends itself to easy walking around Pest, and especially the discovery of the narrow streets within the old Jewish quarter. It was also just around the corner from the Christmas market, which was already vibrant, although it was only November.

Room Tip: superior room on the side facing the park and St Istvan....

We stayed at the Kempinski for a long weekend. We would not normally run to a 5 star, but the rate at around £100 per night was too tempting. It's a big hotel with a really impressive frontage. First impression was a palace. Our room was not huge but spacey enough, with all the necessary bits, such as bath and shower.

The location is perfect for the city and it would normally be unnecessary to need transport. However there are trams available right outside the building.

Like many other reviewers we avoided the hotel's restaurants which were pricey. Otherwise a highly recommended hotel.
