This is one of the best hotel stays that we have ever had. It is also one of the most tastefully designed hotels we have ever stayed in. The service was great. The bedding was very comfortable. We had drinks in the Blue Fox bar, which had a great ambiance. We seldom eat at hotel restaurants but we ate at both restaurants here. Both meals were really good with great service.

Hotel service was attentive and not intrusive. Everyone tried hard to make our stay pleasant.

Tip: Visit and relax at their incredibly beautifully designed small pool and spa area.

We had 3 rooms and stayed for 2 nights at the Kempenski.
-Staff speaks fluent English. We were welcomed to the hotel and greeted appropriately. The front desk staff is professional. Dining, Business center, and Spa staff were all helpful and courteous - No issues whatsoever.
-Services, Amenities and Facilities meet standards. In-room dining is excellent! We were extremely comfortable at the hotel during our stay.

Highly recommended. One of the most professionally run hotels in Europe. We will definitely be back!

I recently spent seven days at the Kempinski hotel in Budapest.. What sets this hotel apart is the service and location. The service throughout the hotel is excellent. From the room service servers to the bar staff everyone you meet is both friendly, prompt, and helpful. The hotel is located in the central district and is right up from the Danube and across the street from a large park (the Erzsébet tér). The park which has several bars and a large Ferris wheel gets quite lively in the evenings and is a fun place to hang out. Besides the park, the hotel is surrounded by a multitude of shops, bars, and restaurants. The rooms are average for a hotel of this quality. Nice but not exciting. The fitness center is a bit small but adequate. There is a large spa which seems nice but which i did not use. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Kempinski and when I return to Budapest I plan on staying there again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the park have a lovely view but are maybe a bit noisy on the weekend nights for some pe...

I went on a business trip to Budapest last February and it was my first trip out of the country. I choose the Kempinsky only for the reason that they have an available room, and as a result, it was a very good decision. All the members in Hotel including the front, restaurant, and others I met were all kind and friendly to me. Breakfast was really good, as well. Although I've visited some other cities and hotels after visiting Budapest, Kempinsky is the only hotel that all the services are good. If I've got a chance to visit Budapest next time, I definitely stay here again.

This grand hotel has the most wonderful location. It's steps away from the Danube and equally close to some of the most happening, pedestrian streets in Budapest. Walk outside your hotel and you are immediately swept up into the festive atmosphere of all the beautiful crowds milling around.

The hotel rooms are spacious and have an old world charm about them. The air-conditioning could have worked better, but this being an old building, a part of the charm is to have the room toasty and not cold!

Breakfast wasn't included in our deal but the breakfast served downstairs in the swanky "Living Room" was way more than ample and comes at a very good price too!

The world famous Japanese restaurant "Nobu" chose the Kempinski Cornivus for their Budapest location and we enjoyed a great dinner here, but that I'll file under another review.

I forgot to carry my adapter and had to borrow one from the front desk. I was just a tad horrified that they took a 20 Euro deposit from me for that itty bitty thing! These adapters aren't even theirs, they are usually stuff that guests leave behind. I don't see why a luxury hotel like that needs to levy a deposit charge , lending it to a guest without a fuss would have made for great customer service.

Great rooms, great location, great breakfast but best of all, the staff. From housekeeping to restaurant waiting staff to front desk, you name it, they were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. For a five star hotel I was very pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced their Es bistro was. Having enjoyed many a breakfast and three evening meals there I would highly recommend a visit.

Room Tip: Try to get a park view and of course, the higher the floor the better. Avoid floor no.3 as although...

This fine and luxurious hotel cost less than the more modest hotel where we stayed in Vienna. It's not far from the train station, well-located, in Pest, and near the metro stop. There are many retaurants nearby, including the rather pricey "Es" in the hotel itself. I was pleasantly surprised to see a large Ferris wheel right outside the hotel, though we didn't ride it. Amenities are excellent, and include a pool, deck, sauna and steam baths for men and women. It's a pleasant walk across the Liberty Bridge to Buda, where you can visit the famous Gellert Baths. All in all, the Kempinski makes a fine and comfortable home base in Budapest.
