Walking distance from all the major sights. Hotel staff spoke good English, they were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, sufficient and good value. It would have been nice to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was plentiful. A great place to stay.

I recently stayed at the Kings Hotel for 3 nights, the rooms were basic, clean and perfectly
ok for short trip.Breakfast was included but although ok ,very basic. The staff were extremely helpful and had a few good tips to help enjoy our trip.,we were there the bar and restaurant did not seem to be used by anyone .
Great location, all attractions within walking distance.Very close to the hotel are 3 good local bars, all providing good traditional hungarian food.

Great location wise, in the heart of pest and very near to metro. Breakfast decent. Everything else extremely basic. More like a 2 star hotel. Very small double room, poorly ventilated, sheets looked very grubby and although non smoking specified, the room smelt of stale cigars and cigarettes. Staff fairly helpful. Ideal if you want simple hotel without the frills.

Nice, but not spectacular hotel. New lobby and elevator are up to date and fashionable. Rooms left more to be desired. Very high ceilings, but minimal furnishings. Small bed. Breakfast was a standard buffet style, eggs were cold each day of our four day trip. Very nice and helpful service staff. N ot bad overall for the price.

After reading some mixed reviews, I was pleasently surprised with my four night stay at the Kings hotel. The rooms were small and older but clean, the room was provided with a safe which we only used once (on the day we visited the baths). Breakfast was also provided and while not great, it had all the neccessary things to start your day.

The best thing about the Kings was the information and help provided by the front desk. Maps, tour suggestions and general advice were given clearly and the staff were always friendly.

The hotel is located a short walk to two of the three metro lines, and a 15 minute walk (flat!) to the Danube where Buda meets Pest.

I cannot recomend this hotel enough. Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights and had an absolutely brilliant time. The hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport and also a discounted taxi at the end of our journey. When we arrived the staff were very welcoming and went through all the sites and recomended a beautiful cosy and cheap restaurant nearby. They helped us with any questions we had and were always friendly and very approachable. The rooms are fine basic but spacious enough I mean what do you want for €45 per night per room. The reason why we went to budapest was for my boyfriends 40th Birthday and when we came back to the hotel after a fabulous day around the city there was a bottle of champagne wating with a note to wish him a happy birthday!!! The staff had noticed his birthday from the details on our passports and had left the champagne there. This was just the highlight for us, it is rare for a hotel to add such a personal touch. And we only spent €45 per night!!! Budapest is a wonderful city draped in culture and wonderful scenery. I would definitely go back to this hotel.
