“Uplifting view and sleep”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

Very nicely placed hotel on the Buda side of Budapest, and if you happen to get a room whose windows open towards the castle-hill and church, the view is so nice and uplifting that all mood downs become mood ups. Reasonable size rooms with basic facilities (but no in-room coffee making etc). The hotel's art is basically that of one artist who Donald Sultan who has designed everything - mostly in black and white, and some of it is very pleasing. Good facilities for small meetings and conferences.

We stayed here for 3 nights after getting a last minute deal. The hotel was well appointed with friendly service and great rooms. Location was excellent with a good view of Parliament and within walking distance of good bars and restaurants. The only downside was no tea and coffee making facilities but that was a minor grumble. Strongly recommended!

I stayed here for 3 nights in May. Its a five minute walk away from the chain bridge and cable car up to the Castle district. Looks out over the river with great views of Parliament and you can easily walk over to Pest from here and down to Margaret Island.
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were massive, modern, clean and had everything you needed.
The city itself if beautiful. I would recommend Castle district, doing a tour by night either on the river ( if you do this then don't set sail until at least 8pm so its dark ) or by bus ( bus is better personally as it takes you up to the citadel and you can take beautiful pictures of the whole city at night.
I would recommend the restaurant Spoon which is a boat on the best side of the river, opposite the castle.
I would strongly recommend this hotel. Its straightforward and a great base for your stay.
Enjoy !

Superb location overlooking river and Parliament, with big clean modern rooms and the most fantastic breakfast buffet I have ever seen at a hotel. In addition to the usual coffees, teas, breads, there was a selection of cereals, freshly made pastries, fruits, meats, jams, and on and on, all in a beautiful, clean and very large breakfast room.

The staff was helpful and nice (but not overly so). The room had an enormous desk-like shelf along the wall which was great for computer equipment and paperwork. The bathroom also had a very large countertop. I would definitely seek out this chain elsewhere. A very excellent hotel experience (which makes for an excellent stay in a city).

Room Tip: If you want comfort, consistency and convenience, stay with the hotel chains. You can get plenty of...

I found this hotel a very good choice to get into Budapest visit! located in a strategic area in Buda along the Danube river, few minutes walking away from the Castle and the Parliament, 15 minutes walking from the centre of Pest.
The design of the room is nice and comfortable. All the employes are efficient, kind and speak a perfect English.

Just Excellent. Good Room - upgrade to suite, View straight over the Danube and onto the Parliament building. Breakfasts were very good, with positive and friendly service

Excellent position for Buda with super cafes and restaurants nearby
Staff gave excellent care with sorting out what to see and when Very friendly and attentive staff. Early and late check in and out.

TV and standard WIFI really good; both rooms had flat screens but no BBC channel. Did not miss CNN, and found the French 24 English channel very interesting. Regrert did not have time to use Pool or Spa but they looked great.

Room Tip: Make sure you get the Danube view!!

Due to Hilton being full I was back to Artotel, not my first choice in Budapest.
The room was fine and this time the WiFi managed to work sufficiently for me to work.
Breakfast was again ok, though lacking in choices.
The staff were as ever here unhelpful, not rude just doing the bare minimum. A fellow guest also chatted to me and had same impression.
WIth the location and better staff this could be a gem
