The location of the hotel is great, close to the Castle District, Chain Bridge and Metro station. Lots of nice restaurant around. Hotel is very clean and new. Good gym facilities and Sauna. We had a great stay there!

I spent 10 days at the Art'otel and I strongly recommend it. It is situated in a very nice and convenient area, you can reach on foot nearly all the attractions. The view is magnificient, the hotel is stylish and provides all the comforts you need.
The rooms are very large, clean with a nice design, the only thing I missed is a radio.
The hotel staff is helpful and very efficient.
I believe it's the best choice in Budapest

Location is the best part of this hotel - right on the Danube (especially nice if you have a river view room) and a couple blocks down from tram and subway stops. Our room was decent - normal sized by European standards - but seemed a bit worn around the edges. Carpet, bedding, furniture etc was a little dingy. Nothing objectionable certainly, but didn't seem consistent with the hip vibe they were going for. We ate the breakfast one day - overpriced, but certainly delicious and filling. Overall a nice place - not the worst I've seen, nor the greatest.

Just spent 3 nights in Art'otel, Budapest and had a lovely time. We were told to get a taxi from the airport by a friend, but looked up before coming away and got a bus and train to the hotel and found this quite easy. You can then get a tube for 2 stops to just down the road from the hotel, but we enjoyed the 20min walk from the Pest side instead. This only costs approx £2 pp for the bus, train and tube. The hotel staff were always polite and the hotel was exceptionally clean. We paid extra for the river view, which was worth it. My only complaint was that there was no tea/coffe making facilities in the room, so take a travel kettle with you - especially if you fancy a cuppa after sight seeing. The rooms were large and cleaned daily. The walls were quite thick and there was no noise from neighbouring rooms. The hotel is on quite a busy road but the double glazing blocked out any traffic noise. We treated ourselves to the breakfast on the last morning and this was lovely. Im vegetarian and there was a choice of baked cheese to replace the sausages, etc. It seems quite expensive when told how much the breakfast buffet is, but we ate so much we didn't need lunch or a mid am coffee so it balanced out. We used the sauna one evening after coming back from a big dinner and were the only ones in there. These were very clean too and there were fresh towels provided. There is a little shop next door which provides a cheaper alternative to water, beer, etc, but watch out for the wine as it is all corked and there is no cork screw in the room. The hotel is in an excellent location and we found walking to the palace, and the Pest side easy. There is a tram stop out the front and a tube stop down the road if you are feeling lazy. If I went back to Budapest, I would definately stay there again.

We were a group who had booked our roomes online and of course thought the breakfast was included in the overexpensive price...But that wasn't the fact. The breakfast costs 14 euro (!!!) pp, which I think is a robbery. OK, the view is nice if you have the opportunity to have a room with a view over the Danube (an extra cost of 20 euro per room and night). But the worst was that they charged for another five rooms and haven't payed it back although it has gone almost one week since we stayed there. Avoid this place!!!

4 night stay. Ate breakfast in hotel-ok. Friendly, helpfull staff, recommend river view rooms - we upgraded to suite for this purpose at not much extra cost, as we had room in the house at back! well worth it-huge room! Easy to get to via airport shuttle bus which we booked on landing.good places for eating local food on same block (chain bridge side) good prices and good food. easy walking distance to many places ..tram stops outside hotel+underground station 300m away.

We did not pay the extra for the Danube view on the basis that we would not be spending that much time in the room, so had one of their more basic rooms. But having said that, it was very large and comfortable.

The only complaint would be that the bathroom was inexplicably small bearing in mind how large the room was. Also, it was difficult getting your suitcase to the room because you had to go up and down stairs - fair enough because it is on old building that has been converted, but if that might be difficult for you, make sure you ask for help.

While the hotel is very convenient for the castle side of the city, it is quite a way to the Pest side where most of the restaurants and sites are. But there is an underground station about 5 minutes away, so would recommend using that.

We didn't eat at the hotel at all, but there was a very good little restaurant nearby - turn right out of the hotel and it is on the first corner. Dunaparti something.....
