“Breathtaking Views”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

You must come here for the beautiful views. We walked here from the Pest side and that took us a bit, especially up the hill. In the end, it was worth it!

“Excellent view of Budapest”
Reviewed 22 September 2012

One of the most famous landmark in Budapest. From there, you can have an excellent view of Pest side, especially the Chain Bridge and St. Stephen's cathedral. Recommend to have a beer in one of the towers in the far end. The view of the city and river is spectacular

“Don't pay!”
Reviewed 20 September 2012

There's a small part of the bastion you visit for 600HUF, but then you realise the rest of it you can visit free anyway! - save your pennies the bit by the restuarant/bar is better anyway.

“Absolutely beautiful”
Reviewed 19 September 2012

We actually made the walk up to Fisherman's Bastion from the tram station on the Danube side (can't recall which one). It was a long, hard walk but we like walking so we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would likely recommend taking the bus up the hill for those who aren't as stubborn as us. Some of the best views of the city. Stop in at the cafe to listen to live music and sip a Hungarian wine.

“Disneyesque architecture”
Reviewed 18 September 2012

Very unusual but on a sunny day the contrast of the white limestone buildings withe blue sky is awesome.. As for Castle hill use the No.6 Bus. We also eat up here but you tend to pay a premium for the view - which is well worth it on a fine day.
