“Still great for classic night photos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

Walk up and back on the bridge at night and there is great opportunity for night photos. Budapest as a whole has really improved the opportunity for night photos over the last decade. A photographers delight.

“Part of Hungarian History”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2013

This bridge is beautiful - part of hungarian history. It was the first bridge that connected Pest with Buda side. Sponsored and managed by gróf Széchényi István who was a central figure and protector in the building of many important historical buildings in Budapest, railways, waterwarks, etc. Walk through in the evening, watch the Buda castle, Gresham Palace and the Danube and you understand why so many love this city.

This bridge is so beautiful!! When it's lit at night, it's breathtaking. It's a lovely walk in both directions.

“Looks great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2013

The bridge is one mighty structure. Prevented from crossing it on one of the days but well worth it as during the festival of St Stephens the bridge is the focal point of the firework display with fireworks cascading from the bridge looked fantastic.

“Good old landmark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2013

Very safe to walk across as you are segregated from the traffic. Very grand structure, solid and a monument to engineers of the past. Loving couples today go to the bridge to declare their undying love for each other and leave an engraved padlock attached to the structure. Good to see it from a boat on the river and to walk across.
