Dating back to 1851, this beautiful church is worth taking the time to visit, serene and beautiful and not off the beaten track!

“Wonderful church w/ amazing interior.”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

We visited this church while a day trip in Budapest from Vienna. I could understand why this building has been voted as the most pictured by many of the travelers. The interior was really amazing especially with the sunrays came through the glass windows. I could stay there for long wondering the beauty and the history behind. It is a must see in Budapest, don't just stare it from the outside but go inside...

What a magnificent treat - a not to be missed addition to your trip to the castle district. Exterior is stunning but the interior is even more so with some hidden secrets you have to go in to see

“Place to be!”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

St. Stephen's is not only a beautiful cathedral, but a gathering point! Crowds gather every day and sit on the steps and enjoy the local and visitor traffic. Great coffee houses and ice cream parlors in the area. Walk on down the street and get a glass of wine or a great meal. If possible, take in a concert. I did and do not regret it. I felt the concert price was a great value. Arrive early and if you have a back problem sit in a lawn chair on the inside rather than a bench.

“St. Stephens Basilica”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Up on castle hill must visit this church. You can walk around the area and visit shops, walk the ramparts including Fisherman's Bastion, see views of Pest and Buda, the chain bridge, Margrit Island, etc.
