“A Street of Tourist Shops & Resturants”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

A long, interesting street which is very worth a visit. It is parallel to the river on the north side of the river.

“Like any other street except...”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

except look up and around for some very nice buildings. I'd read some negative comments about this area but it didn't seem any different to any other shopping area. I'm not a shopper so wasn't interested in the shops but we did see some architectural oddities. WARNING: if you like churches or architecture, don't miss St Michael's Church, the interior is jaw-dropping, but it could so easily be missed.

“Tourist Center”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Like any other big city Vaci is the same with designer stores and over priced coffee shops. On the positive side it's always busy with a nice vibe. It's worth taking a walk but don't get suckered into shopping or eating in this area, you will do yourself an injustice by doing this when there are so many other wonderful eateries in about the city.

“Watch out for Scammers”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

If like me, for you being approached by two pretty girls who invite you to join them in a bar for a drink is usually a dream too good to be true, its the same in Budapest, but when it happens don't be blinded by their flattery and politely keep going. Its a scam and they still seem to be catching enough men out to make it worth their while to keep trying each evening. Don't be tricked, I must have been approached at least ten times, fortunately I had read about it on the internet before my arrival. I hope you don't get caught either>

“Relaxing and enjoying walk on one of the most tourist-crowded streets of Budapest”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Vaci utca is an all pedestrian street, full of souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and different other shops. Start from the Chain Bridge end and you'll discover Vorosmarty ter, a plaza which sometimes hosts fairs with typical hungarian fast-food and hand-made products. Street artists. Nice place to walk in the evening.
