“Feels like summer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

It has a little bit of everything - a castle, a lake, lángos with tejföl and cheese, nice footpaths, the zoo nearby, history nearby - it's clearly a place to go to get away from "real" city-life, and indeed Városliget does a good job at that - taking you out of reality for a little while.

“Best park in Budapest”

An amazing party! A green paradise not far at all from the centre of Budapest! Another amazing spot in one of the best cities in the world.

“One of the Best Parks in Budapest”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

This is a humongous park that is quite well put together. You have access to this Park through different locations. You could either use the Metro 1 (Hero's Squara or Sechenyi Furdo) or the bus or simply walk if you are closer to Hero's Square. There is a flee market (I believe) during the weekends. There are smaller parks inside Varosliget - some of them being just for Dogs. Certainly a lot of areas to explore and you would not be surprised by the history it carries. A large number of seating arrangements. A place where you could learn/practice your road signs (or your drivers test) was a nice surprise. You also have the Agriculture Museum at one corner of the park - just the view of it is mesmerising. I enjoyed for sure.

“Right out of a fairytale”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

This is definitely one of my favorite places in Budapest. It is very interesting and unique. Park is big and beautiful. This is the first place my friends and I visited in Budapest, where we rest after a long car ride. Although there are a lot of tourists around the Castle, it's still very relaxing, especially by the water, behind the colonnade on Heroes' Square.

“While your out there”

This park is right beside victory square. It has a very nice looking castle and church. Definitely worth the short walk over the bridge to check it out.
