“Good value for money”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

I stayed in the Ibis City for 3 nights and I booked Bed and Breakfast accommodation. The position of the hotel is in the center of Budapest with the Metro station and Tram stop very close. The hotel is renovated, modern, clean and has everything a traveler need. The breakfast has enough variety for all customer's preference. The only negative is the soundproof of the window which is no so good and even it was on the 7th floor I could hear the sound from the street and the square which is nearby. Generally is a good value for money hotel for Budapest.

This Ibis hotel is like most Ibis hotels and is comfortable and affordable, it is in a good location in the city within easy access to the many of the tourist attractions and restaurants etc. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely no problem. Very efficient & professional.
Welcoming staff. Went there with a kid of 5 and found an extra bed waiting without any extra charge. Good breakfast. Fast wifi.
Would recommend to anybody.

This hotel was ideally placed in Budapest to accommodate the needs of the party I was travelling with. The staff were efficient and very helpful. Given that I did not speak the language the staff, although not fluent English speakers did communicate very well in English.
There was no safe in the rooms but there was a safety deposit box room at reception which was FREE, secure and easy to access.
The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The bed linen, pillows and towels were all good quality.
Breakfast was a very good, adequate buffet set in a very nicely laid out area.
There was a small bar which also offered snacks. No dinner was available but the hotel was located immediately next to a huge variety of pubs and restaurants.
Although the hotel was in a busy, central location there was no noise interference in the rooms.
My friends and I stayed for 5 nights and would certainly recommend this hotel for comfort and quality at a very reasonable cost.
The only downside was that the air on in the room was a bit noisy.

We stayed at Ibis Budapest City five days in July 2014.
The hotel's location is very good - very close to the metro and tram line with great access to anywhere in the city.
The hotel area has all kinds of restaurants and pubs, so that in the evenings you Don't have to travel far to hang out.
The hotel staff gladly helped each question, and the price was great with good value for money.

This hotel is very conveniently located halfway between Keleti train station and the city centre. You can walk from the train station to the hotel in about 15 minutes, and the city center is a 20 minute stroll away. Alternatively you can take the metro (red line) - it's one stop from Keleti and two stops from the hotel to Déak ter for the city center.
I usually take the morning train which arrives in Budapest at 10 am, and both times our rooms were ready despite the early check-in.
The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. I've stayed there twice (once in December 2013 and once in August 2014), for one night respectively. The rooms facing the street can get a bit noisy on the weekend, maybe because there is a hostel on the same street. This time we got a room facing the courtyard, and it was very quiet.
Breakfast is also good value for money, you have a selection of your usual continental fare, as well as scrambled eggs and sausages.
The staff are very friendly and helpful (and multilingual), and there's also quite stable free wifi available. The only negative thing I found was that you only get one towel per person (I'm a woman with long hair, so this is quite important for me *g*).
Overall I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for a nice and relaxing stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the courtyard, especially if you're staying Friday or Saturday, as rooms f...
