Walk back through the woods to see this attraction built for the 1896 Millennium Celebration. It represents the history of Hungarian Architecture. It now houses a museum which we didn't go see. Enjoy the beautiful park and the peace from the crowds at Hero's Square.

A very lovely and scenic place to spend the morning, the medieval/Gothic looking gates at the rear were hauntingly beautiful. The buildings within the grounds are replicas of landmark buildings from part of the Kingdom of Hungary. Hence, different architectural styles exists side by side.

Of interest as well, is a bust of Count Dracula, did he use to inhabit the castle grounds?

There are a few museums here, churches, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and hotels. Great views of the river and city are up here. The streets and paths are cobblestone so wear appropriate shoes. This is a nice lazy day for walking. The views I think are the main reason to come to this area and to soak up the buildings themselves. A quaint section of Budapest but I don't think the better museums are here.

A bit out of the city, this was built in 1896 and includes 21 exact replicas of historic buildings in Hungary. It is interesting if you have extra time, but I enjoy seeing the original buildings instead of replicas.
