“Great stroll”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

I was positively surprised with Andrassy Ut. It certainly has charm and many interesting sights along the way. Don't miss the Opera and Book Cafe. Also, there is a great pub there - Caledonia Scottish Pub - if you're a beer lover. And forget about the metro, just take a walk.

“Nice street.”

Nice walk to see modern yuppie Hungary. There are a number of sights along the avenue as well. Starts a city hall and continues to hero's square.

“I wish we had walked instead”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

I saw Andrassy Avenue last August from the window seat of a Viking River Cruises tour bus en route to Heroes’ Square. While that was a memorable experience, I sure wish we could have walked instead. This boulevard is an amazing ensemble of beautiful old buildings, many of which are richly deserving of a lingering look. Alas, nearly all of my photos turned out lousy, thanks to glare and the vehicle’s speed. What a keen disappointment that was!

“Great way too walk the city”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

This is the Champs Elysee of Budapest that is a 5.5 mms stretch- one end of which is near the Sissi Park and the other end runs along the oldest subway line to the Hesok Ter ( Heroes Square)…you actually walk past the House of Terror, beautiful squares and the Opera House….great way to stretch your legs!
