We have booked a 3 night break to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday.
Hotel is great .. Definitely upgrade to executive and staff are wonderful....
However.... Booked 8pm meal at rickshaw. They had this as 10pm even thought corcierge had booked it for 8pm...and wouldn't let us have a table even though onlly half tables booked. Told to wait and they would get us... They didn't so went back after 20 minutes. Given table and ordered but after 20 minutes brought wrong starters. Another 5 minutes wrong starters again and then finally got it right. Another 45 minutes before mains. During this time they had turned various couples away even though many tables free. We didn't wait for deserts but very stupidly went to the nightclub. ..... Big mistake.
Went to an empty table and was told by waiter that the club was closed. Asked for manager and another waiter said it wasn't closed after all. Husband was jostled and told not to put drinks on the bar. Overall felt very intimidatd, this club and restaurant should not be associated with the hotel which is wonderful. Overall impression is that we never wish to return to Budapest which is a wonderful city and the Corinthian is a lovely hotel but don't go to rickshak or nightclub!

Room Tip: Book executive room

Thank you for your honest feedback. Your comments are valuable for us and highlight the areas where we need to focus on in order to gain an excellent guest experience. I was sorry to learn that your experience at Rickshaw and the Orfeum Club on this occasion fell short of your expectations. I do hope that you will look upon this breakdown in service as a one off and not indicative of the customer care we wish to provide at all times.
I appreciate your constructive comments. I am glad to note that otherwise your stay was enjoyable and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
Kindest regards,

Positioned conveniently on a main road with easy access by tram, underground or bus to all areas of Budapest, this hotel is superb! 5* luxury for us included executive suite and executive access to the spa with saunas, jacuzzis, swimming pool and small gym. It was open most days over the Christmas period, great! The executive lounge opened for breakfast, all day for snacks and evening for tea, with wine, champagne available all day. We did eat out and within the hotels restaurants, but you could quire easily not have to pay for anything if you had a smaller appetite and weren't splashing out over Christmas!
The room was great, very quiet, comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. Service was good and respectful and polite maid service. The concierge was helpful, providing accurate details about travel to the buda and pest centres, things to do, bars and restaurants to try and how to get there. Very friendly. Nice gift shop. The fact it was Christmas made our visit even more special, lovely decorations, tree, Christmas music playing in the restaurant, gingerbread house in the foyer. Although it was Christmas, the staff continued to be helpful and friendly, despite working during their holidays, very applaudable. I would definitely want to stay at the hotel corinthia again, excellent!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for an executive package, well worth it.

Didn't think it could live up to expectations, however it did. Came here as a celebration for a 30th wedding anniversary and a birthday and we were not disappointed. We upgraded to executive rooms and this has to be thoroughly recommended. Hotel within walking distance of all attractions and restaurants. Pest across the Danube is easily within walking distance. Rooms of a high standard, plenty toiletries and all bed linen changed daily unless you leave a card on the bed which isn't very clear. Staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The spa is free and worth a visit. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel and there is also a small night club with live entertainment. This is also free to guests and the singers are of a high standard. The executive room is quiet and pleasant to sit in, there are drinks, snacks, fresh fruit, rolls and cheeses etc. So all in all a great hotel and to be thoroughly recommended

Took my husband here for his birthday. I had booked an executive room which allows check-in/out in the executive lounge whilst enjoying a glass of champagne. You can also enjoy the lounge with food and drinks until 10pm. Our room overlooked the boulevard and we were able to open the French doors and stand on the balcony to enjoy the view. Breakfast was fabulous, everything was there including champagne if required. Used the pool and jacuzzi which again we couldn't fault. Dressing gown and slippers provided to wander down to spa. The interior of the hotel was stunning and the location is perfect. Looking forward to going back, hopefully in the early summer.

A beautiful hotel with the best service. We stayed with our family (2 adults + 2 children ages 3 and 1) and would return anytime. The location is good as you can walk around almost anywhere. We had reserved a executive 34m2 room but at check-in they gave us a bigger room with two extra rooms for the children. The food at the breakfast was great and the service at the Executive Club was exellent. Would definitely return here. The only down side for families was, that the Spa only allowed children between 11pm-15pm which for us is the nappy-time.
