I have stayed at hostels nicer that this hotell! It is very centrally located which is a plus, but it's rather in need of renovation, most of the staff where quite unpleasant (there were to very nice people at the reception who made an effort though), the breakfast was of poor quality and the cleaning of the rooms not very good.

If you get a good deal you it's fine (good size rooms). But be a aware that this is rather a TWO star that a four star hotell. I would not recommend this to friends

I stayed here for a week on a dental health trip, my fourth to Budapest in three years. I chose Alfa Hotel Fiesta on the basis of its location close to the transport hub of Deak Square. Many other sights and facilities are easily walk-able from Kiraly St. The public areas of the hotel are bright, clean and appear well maintained. However my room was less so. It was indeed spacious, with a very large double bed, with clean linen. The furniture and decor were "tired" and a good coat of paint and minor repairs would make a big difference. The bathroom was another story. The shower sliding door fell of its runners, if not handled carefully, and its frame was rusting. The sink plug was seized in the part-open position and a light fitting was hanging by its cable from the ceiling. Generally room cleaning seemed to be mainly making the bed and a quick tidy of the bathroom. Breakfast ran out before the end time and was pretty basic.Despite all that Budapest remains a fabulous city with lovely helpful people.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the street may be noisey

We stayes here for three nigths on footballtrip with friends. The location of the hotel is great. Very close to the center and convenient stores and restaurants on the street outside.

The rooms are quite spacious but you only get one key to the room which can be difficult if you are three persons in a room. We had our room on the highest floor and had no problem with the WiFi connection.

The breakfast was a standard breakfast, nothing special.

The staff was mostly helpful with one execption. One of the staffmembers only answer to requests was -"No".

Overall I was satisfied with the stay and it was worth the price.

The hotel was excellent. We were two familys from Finland , all togheter 10 people. The rooms where very nice and clean, good standard. The breakfeast was very good, and they had even an asian style of breakfest. The staff were very friendly and helpful, everything could be fixed. The locaition of the hotel was very good, everything in a walking distance.

Room Tip: It,s good to book in advance, yoy could get a very good price

We really enjoyed our stay in Budapest and the Afla Fiesta was a good base to explore the city from.
The reception staff were always helpful, friendly, polite (all spoke good English) and were always obliging to provide any information.
The room was spacious (there was room for two large single beds and a sofa and chair), clean and had good air conditioning- a welcome feature after a warm day sightseeing! The bathroom had all the requirements you would need, including free shampoo, soap and body lotion.
Our only criticism was that there was no safety deposit box in our room, but we felt safe enough to leave our passports and other valuables in the room.
The breakfast buffet had an incredible amount of different foods to choose from e.g fresh fruit, pastries/bread, yoghurt, ham, cheese, eggs, cooked foods etc.
The hotel is located in an ideal place to explore the city, either on foot or using public transport. The Basillica and the Opera House are a short walk away, as is the Great Synagogue. The river is also a short distance away, and is a lovely place to walk beside just before an evening meal. (Keep an eye out for the memorial for the Jewish people killed by the Arrowmen on the riverbank- 60 pairs of shoes scattered at the side of the river, near the Parliament buildings. An incredibly powerful memorial for a truely destructive event.)

We would definitely stay here again when we return to the beautiful city of Budapest.

A great location! Easy to walk everywhere and the hotel is on a quiet street with nice cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are a little basic, could do with a simple picture on the walls BUT, very large and good breakfast.

We had four days in Budapest and thoroughly enjoyed our time but this hotel needs a bit of work. It certainly is not four star and is probably lucky to be three. The rooms were spacious and the air-conditioner worked quite well, which was good because it was hot whilst we were there. Breakfast was ordinary and they probably could have catered better for non-European tourists but we are not complaining because we didn't pay much. The staff at reception were helpful and obliging.l
