Our welcome could not have been better with Petra (the receptionist) offering us any help we needed during our stay - she was very knowledgeable and could not have done more for us. Although the hotel is on a main road the vehicle noise wasn't too bad given that we were out of the hotel for most of the day and evening. The location of the hotel was on the Buda side however local transport took us into the centre in less than 10 minutes, the bus stop being literally 500 yards from the hotel. Everyone in the hotel was very nice with a family feel about the staff. Best bit was the unending help from Petra, the worst bit being the vehicle noise on some nights.
Would recommend this hotel to any of my friends - even the more discerning ones!!!

My daughter and I spent three days at the Gold Hotel Buda and found the hotel and our room to be very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very satisfying. We especially appreciated the FREE wireless internet. However,it was the front desk staff who made the hotel stay special as they were so professional, friendly and helpful with maps, guidance, storing luggage, etc. We found the hotel to be very convenient to the Gellert Baths, and with such an efficient bus and subway system we could get to all the spots we wanted to visit very quickly and easily.

We stayed for three days at the Gold Buda hotel 9th to 11th February inclusive. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The staff cannot do enough for you. Although it is about a mile out of the centre, there is a very regular bus service into town (nos 8 and 112) and we never had to wait more than a few minutes for one to come along.

Breakfast was inclusive, and very good. I would thoroughly reccomend this hotel to anyone. An extra bonus is free WiFi on every floor.

Spent five days at the Gold Hotel in Buda, in a 3-person room at the top of the hotel, B&B. Friendly staff ensured a very relaxing time, and reception staff offered much advice. Room and rest of hotel were clean. The hotel is in a perfect position, being ten minutes' walk from the lift that will take you to Varhegy and the Palace area, and a five minute bus ride from the Danube and Pest.

We spent five nights in this hotel, which is on the Buda side of the city. This means that it is a bit far away from the centre, the shops, etc. However, it is on the main road with excellent transportation connection. It is very close to Rudas Baths (which is very convenient).
The receptionists were all very helpful, their suggestions for restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing were valuable and reliable. We would like to mention in particular Petra, the lady who was at the reception during most of our days there, who was excellent. She knows everything, is quick to respond and help by making reservations, bookings and cancelations, you name it she can manage it.
An overall very positive experience. We would stay there again.
