This was an amazing find! I decided to stay one more night in Budapest and found this incredibly charming and friendly boutique hotel. Timi (not sure if that's how her name is spelled) was such a kind and professional hostess. The location is close to everything but on a nice quiet side street. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. As evidence of how warm and welcoming this places is they even wrote a welcome sign on the blackboard outside my door. Lovely touch! I loved Budapest and I will be back... and stay here!

When you arrive at this hotel the staff couldn't be more helpful & friendly. They speak very good English and carry your bags, give you a welcome drink, advise you on the best places to visit, explain the local transport system, and answer any questions you might have. The rooms are comfortable and nice. The breakfasts are typical buffet style with fresh fruit salad, and there's a 'special' each day such as eggs any-way or frankfurters. It isn't right in the middle of town, but there are tram and metro stops 2 blocks away. The 9 bus goes straight to the Basilica (well it did last week). The only slight problem is for less able people - the breakfast room is on the first floor, so you have to walk up the stairs to eat. Overall a very happy experience.

Room Tip: The largest room seems to be the one on the ground floor but we didn't see all of them of course...

A lovely stay. From the start, an extremely reasonable 6€ taxi ride was arranged, and a very professional and friendly driver was at the airport holding a sign. At the B&B, staff quickly appeared to help with luggage. (There is no lift, but our room was up only one flight of stairs.)
The staff are welcoming, friendly, and oh-so helpful.
Our room had a personalized Welcome on a chalk board.
As for the room: Spotlessly clean, light, airy, tastefully decorated with a cute trompe l'oeil bookcase, and super-quiet (a small entrance-way closed off our room (#1) from the breakfast room, so we heard no sounds at all from early breakfasters.
Breakfast had a special treat each day. One day it was Hungarian-style eggs (an omelet with an adorable decoration - a smiling face made from vegetable pieces). Another day it was chocolate strawberry muffins.
If it's your first time in Budapest, you only have a short time, and you want to be right in the midst of a main tourist area, then this might not be the right location for you. It's also not for you if you need an elevator, or if it's difficult for you to walk a few blocks.
However, if you enjoy being in a quiet neighborhood while still being close to the tourist area and having excellent connections, then the Beletage is a great choice. Many restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. The B&B is between the two main ring tram lines: it's one block from the 4 & 6 outer ring trams, and 3 blocks from the #47, 48, & 49 inner ring trams. It's also just one tram stop (a few blocks) in either direction to the M2 or M3 metro line, or a 3 block walk to the M4 metro line at Kalvin Square. Or walk along Reviczky Utca for 3 blocks; you'll be near Semmelweis University and you'll pass bookstores, a pedestrianized area with outdoor restaurants, a tree-lined area with student hang-outs and cheap eats, and you'll end up at Kalvin Square, a major connecting point that's one block from the restaurants of Raday Utca, and only a few blocks or one tram stop away from the big market and the hubbub of Váci Utca. Continue riding the tram across the Szabadseg bridge to visit the Gellért spa, or transfer to the #2 tram for the scenic ride along the Danube.
For us this was ideal -- to be pampered by the staff of the Beletage, to experience a neighborhood, and to have quick and easy access to the tourist areas and other neighborhoods of Budapest.

Room Tip: Our room was #1. Quiet and sunny. It overlooked the street and was right behind the reception. A...

Prompt communication, friendly and helpful staff, spotlessly clean rooms, warm hospitality, perfect location, just about enough breakfast, tasteful interiors. All positives which can be experienced only when you stay here. Special mention of Zsolt, very humble guy.

I stayed here on a short trip as I was due to meet friends from different countries who where staying in Budapest while I was stopping in Kecskemet. For me as a short stop over I found the hotel clean and presentable and with easy reach of trams and buses.

Just returned from a month in Europe. House Beletage was great. They sent an excellent driver to meet us at airport and give info on Budapest as we rode to hotel. Lovely room with chandelier & closets. Great location in Pest. They arranged tickets for the Baths and loaned us towels. Also made great dinner reservations. Set up nice breakfast buffet every morning.
