“Great salads and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

Tucked away in an ordinary street right beside the national art museum lies on Budapest pearls. Sporting a lovely authentic outdoors terrace the owners offer authentic Italian gastronomy with great homemade salads. Loved their wines, but their service was truly special. Just sit an entire afternoon on their terrace and enjoyed the hospitality

“Too new to be good!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

It is a very nice small cafe next to the National Museum, located at Brody Sandor street.

We wanted to try the "pasta of the day", but it was not available as well as many other dishes of the menu. The waiter explained to us that this happened because the cafe opened only two days ago.So we ordered lasagne pesto and bolognai, two lemonades and one tiramisu.

The lasagne were very average and served in small plates. The lemonades were tasteless and not big enough proportions. The tiramisu was the surprise of the meal, because it tasted very nice and it was fresh!

The prices were not high at all. We paid 10 euros for two main dishes, drinks and dessert.

The service was friendly and helpful. They also accept credit cards.

We expect more from this place next time.

“Not good”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2013

Not sure how this has such good reviews. Staff couldn't be bothered to help us and stared at us in the restaurant. Drinks were okay, pretty average, and the breakfast menu was basically sold out so all that was left was a completely plain croissant. Really wish we hadn't visited this place we had better breakfasts everywhere else that we went.

Went on Thursday evening and food was free with the drinks we ordered. Excellent espresso and a good place for breakfast as well.

“a little Italy in the heart of Budapest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2013

The real flavors of Italy in the buzzing Palace District of Budapest. I visited the little coffee bar several times for breakfast, brunch as well as the famous Aperitivo and it always felt like that a small slice of Italy was transported in the middle of Budapest. The coffee is run by two Italians, Carlo and Marco and the staff also speaks fluent Italian, so the place is always filled with chatting Italians, good espresso, home made croissants and fresh pasta. It is worth visiting!
