“One of the best trips of our life”

Jonapot!: We recently had a 3 night stay at this beautiful boutique hotel and it was brilliant from start to finish. We stayed in room 43, which was lovey, huge bed , cute decor and an amazing terrace with view! It was ideally situated with touristy attractions such as the Castle of Buda within a couple of minutes walking distance. We were very unorganised, we hadn't researched the area and had nothing pre-booked, but the front desk girl was extremely friendly and helpful and ensured we got the most from our holiday. We also ate in the restaurant and tried home made duck liver paté and steak tartar burger with cheddar … It was absolutely one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever eaten. I can highly recommend this fantastic place to stay in.

I spent one day at Baltazar on the day of my wedding as it was the closest hotel to our wedding venue.
I took the preparations there and returned back with my wife in the early morning hours for a sleep.
The hotel is within the walls if the historic Castle of Buda, so the most important must-sees are almost at the doorstep.
The atmosphere of the hotel is excellent. We loved the vintage style very much which looked great even in the lobby and in the room either.
Every room has a different and unique design concept, we took a “spacious room” on the 1st floor which has a wallpaper design like a huge bookshelf and looked really stylish.
The spacious room was really large and was plenty of space even for the make-up woman, two cameramen and a friend of mine helping the groom preparing for the big day.
The bathroom was really adorable with beautiful marble cover on the walls and state-of-the-art shower system.

The staff was extremely helpful, we could not ask anything they could not have managed (i.e. they help with ironing my wedding shirts, a quick lunch was right at my room just couple minutes after my arrival and ask (without pre-order or anything).

All-in-all congrat for the hotel, we enjoyed very much our stay.

Room Tip: take the spacious room on the 1st floor and you'll feel like at home in your living room

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Baltazar and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is an exceptional new family-run hotel within Budapest's beautiful castle district.

We stayed in a very roomy suite with a balcony (a great spot for a glass of wine), but also had a look at some other rooms - the suite for 4 adults was HUGE and would be ideal for both two couples or a family. Every room has been created by a local interior designer, and it really shows. Think oversized artwork, vintage furniture, rain shower... Very cool. We also found the prices extremely reasonable for a hotel of this quality.

However our favourite thing about Baltazar was undoubtedly the staff. From the Manager, Kalman, through to the restaurant team, without exception everyone was super friendly and helpful.

PS ask for the Slovakian sauvignon blanc. Delicious!

Room Tip: Although every room I saw was nice (and I saw at least half), my favourite was the Scarlett suite. T...

This new, 10-room hotel is located in the Buda castle area, one of the most charming and romantic areas in the city. It is a great location for a weekend stay in the city. The rooms are originally decorated, modern and fully equipped with everything you need : very comfortable beds, great shower! We also had an amazing view from the room! Very nice and friendly staff! The hotel also has a really good restaurant. Great experience, I definitely reccomend it if you are looking for a quiet and special place!

After a charming lunch at the Baltazar Restaurant, we viewed the range of rooms in this small hotel, close to the Military Museum. Modern decor, air conditioned, friendly attentive staff, only open about 1 month. Room rates seemed very reasonable for the high quality of the rooms. There are a range of standard and deluxe rooms, and a suite, with flexibility to combine rooms for family groups.
