Superb, large room. Excellent decor. Sumptuous breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great central Pest location for sight-seeing, restaurants & local cocktail bar(s).
Good public transport link from airport - 5 minute walk from train station, direct from airport.

Plus: Location, room style, comfort of beds, large room with sitting area. Small terrace (without a view though).

Minus: Hard to find something, perhaps that the toilet was too low...

Location: If you stay there don't miss the restaurant and bar area Gözsdu Court on the other side of Kiraly str.

Perfect location on a quiet side street only 1 block from the Opera, 10 minutes walking from Vatci street. Rooms were very large (we had a lovely junior suite in the natural style) and in perfect condition. Beds are comfortable and sheets and pillows nice. Breakfast ok, not huge but enough. Nice staff, welcoming and helpful.

Room Tip: Junior suites are really spacious and nice! We had a room towards the street and it was still very q...

I was looking for a less expensive place than my usual Budapest hotel since I was travelling with a friend, and saw this one reviewed on both Bookings.com and here. It was an excellent choice. Great value for money. Breakfast was good and the internet worked well, and the location was fantastic -- right near the Opera house, and about 5 minutes from the excellent bistros in Liszt Ter. Everything in central Budapest was easy walking distance or a short metro ride. Our room was clean and comfortable -- and quiet!-- the staff was helpful and friendly. We'll stay again.

Room Tip: We were on the 1st floor right above the atrium where breakfast is served, and there wasn't any...

Loved this hotel. The rooms are all different, very clean and modern, with all amenities. The hotel is secure and the staff is excellent. The location is central and convenient, one block from the opera house and the subway- or just walk. There is a variety of nearby restaurants, although at breakfast you will want to eat in the very classy breakfast area in the lower level of the Casati; the full breakfast is included. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. And Budapest is a fantastic city, I actually liked it better than Prague. Enjoy the Casati and the city!

Room Tip: The hotel is a block back from Andrássy Avenue so it is very quiet. All the rooms are beautiful.

My husband and I chose the Casati Hotel Budapest because we had stayed there several years ago under a different name and management and had enjoyed it then. We hoped it was still as good, and it certainly is--if anything, better than before. Service is warm and attentive, our room was attractive and spacious (including a small terrace), lighting was plentiful, the bed was comfortable, and everything was spotless. Breakfast, as everyone notes, was fulsome, and held in an attractive old covered courtyard. The location couldn't be better--within a block of Andrassy Ut, the Opera, and the vintage number 1 Metro line. We did find the room a little noisy at night, from footsteps overhead (the floors are wood, with no carpeting). But other than this, everything was very comfortable and agreeable.

My wife and I had a 3 night Budapest break to celebrate our Ruby wedding. We selected the Casati hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. Everything is spotless and our room was lovely. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Within walking distance for most of the sights and lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble for them, organising a restaurant and taxi to the fisherman's bastion on the Buda side of the river. I had ordered a bottle of champagne for our arrival and this was provided complimentary for our celebration. A lovely gesture. We would definitely stay again

The beverages offered to us by the friendly receptionist while checking-in reminded me of our vacations in the tropics. The foyer is small but fitted smartly. We got attracted by the functional arts that embellished the foyer, dining area, staircase and room.

At the start, we were a bit disappointed that we didn't get a natural room, which we have requested, but got a cool room instead. But we started to like it as we enjoyed our stay in Budapest. Our 40 square meter room was minimally furnished and yet it was filled with imaginative creations. The only demerit was the noise in the hallway that can be heard as if our door was opened.
