Owner description: The Cirko-Gejzir is Europe's smallest cinema - a meeting point for film enthusiasts offering the best of the world's current arthouse cinema. Quirky, cosy and atmospheric - it is a must for film buffs in Budapest! The Cirko-Gejzir also offers a home for film festivals and screens retrospective programmes - e.g. the iconic 7-hour Satantango by Bela Tarr is featured from time to time.

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We don't live far, and just stumbled upon this great independent cinema screening excellent foreign films. It is a creative, trendy, alternative and cosy space offering the fantastic opportunity of access to award-winning films from around the world. We watched the phenomenal Hungarian film, Viharsarok (Land of Storms) in a clean, comfortable cinema room in great condition. We'll be back and are making sure we keep an eye on the programme. Just go - you won't be disappointed.

“Cozy Place!”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

I went there to watch two movies, Vijay and me(vijay és én) and Land of storms (Viharsarok). In both times they were so nice, and if the person who is selling the tickets does not speak english, he/she will call somebody to give you the pieces of information that you need in english. The movie rooms have good acoustic and they are comfortable. They have some promotional tickets depending of the day of the week, and I did not know that! I liked that place because I live in Budapest and sometimes it is hard to find movies with english subtitles.
