“good hotel”
Reviewed 26 August 2012

The hotel is clean and quiet, close to the metro and tram station(5 min walk), supermarket in Corvin shopping center very close, 2 min by foot from the hotel.
Rooms are clean, not very big, with comfortable bed and bathroom is OK. The staff is very friendly and willing to help in any situation. Breakfast is good with enough choices for everyone.

To start with I would say that you should ignore all comments much older than this. A lot has been happening in the area. It has gone from a slum to a modern society with the prospect of becoming the new fashion street in Budapest.

All these people hiding in darkness has been eliminated and left is perfect shopping facilities and services that you need. The area is however still under development and this hotel owner is sharing this vision of a new era for the area that is Corvin.

The hotel is now situated in a block where the closest neighbours are older apartments waiting to be renewed or taken down. That is the back of the hotel, what you probably get to watch if you get an economi room. I wouldn't recommend a superior room because it's not much value in that. The environment is not much to cheer for in this area. So my tip is to go with the cheaper room and enjoy the view elsewhere. This hotel should mainly be seen as a staying place.

With all these reconstructions finished the area is not supreme and the hotel awfully underrated as it is also top fresch. Keeping that in mind the prices are extremely underrated. As for now it is written 54-65 euro for a room, and that would in normal cases give you a dormitory room from the 70's and 10km off from the city center. So my tip is that the prices will rice by another 30% when things start settling in.

So at the moment the hotel is top notch with all the things you ever need from a hotel. Everything is working, such as Air condition, and the breakfast is also pretty good.

All in all this hotel is super if you're looking for a place to stay when exploring the city. You won't get much to look at from the hotel but the service is perfect, and so is the price. You get a fully modern and clean hotel with all the things you need. Hurry up and get to this hotel before they start raising the prices!

Had a very nice 3 night stay from end of May to beginning of June. The conference room was good, the room was clean and the aircondition worked well. The Wifi was not working at the room, but was awailable in the lobby and in the conference room. The staff was excellent, very helpful and serviceminded.
The location was good, next to a new shopping center, and fitnesscenter, not far to walk to the main restaurant street, Ràday utca, about 15 mins walk to the great markethall,Nagy Vasarcsarnok. Good value! Would also come back to this hotel with my family (husband and daughter 8 years old).

A very nice stay at a very clean and new room with good furnishings. The bed was excellent, the air conditioning worked well and the bathroom was great. Everything was very neat and tidy. Wifi is very intermittent in the room, but then internetting could be done in the lobby. Staff were excellent. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Last August, I booked EasyJet return flights for 4 of us to Budapest - and followed the EasyJet link to recommended hotels, choosing the City Inn. We went from the 21st - 25th April, flying from Luton.
What a FANTASTIC 4 nights we spent in this hotel, in Central Pest. The location was ideal for exploring the many sights of Budapest ... cost-wise, including the return flights and B&B accommodation, it came to £402 per couple.
The rooms at the City Inn were spotless - the Reception staff were so friendly and helpful; the breakfast covered every palate, in our case, a hot breakfast each morning.
The sights in Budapest were superb ... Chain Bridge, the Royal Palace, Central Market, Matyas Church, Fishermen's Bastion, St. Stephen's Basilica, Opera House, Parliament Building, and, of course, an almost obligatory evening cruise on the River Danube.
Go ... you won't regret it - a beautiful city, full of friendly, helpful people, fantastic restaurants (visit Raday utca) at very affordable prices (cheap!) and drink a-plenty (cheap too!).
10 out of 10 for a fantastic break.

Room Tip: No need to offer a 'tip' on the quality of the rooms ... I'm sure they're all excell...

The hotel is brand new (went there in 2011) and the staff was gentil. Good breakfast. We order a triple room - which was very big and had a bathtub in the middle of the room!! - but we only had one couple's bed and a couch that worked as a bed. The internet was a problem, very slow. The hotel is not in the center and we had to walk like 8-10 minutes to the metro station. Its not the nicest neighbour in the block, but was crowded and safe to walk. there were near by a big shoping, with restaurants, supermarket, bank and cinema. For the price - hotels in the center of budapest are very expensive - was worth.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The place is close to the metro and the tram stop, in about 10 minutes you get to the city centre. The hotel is very clean and receptionists always ready to help you. There is also one PC available in the lobby free of charge - excellent. The price of our stay was very reasonable. I recommend this place if you want to enjoy time in Budapest.
