The hotel is out of town but we knew that before we went. it wasn't that difficult to get too we caught a tram and a train and walked over the bridge. We only stayed one night and that was long enough. Lovely location to chill out and do nothing which is what we wanted for an afternoon and just as well as there is nothing else to do there. the river is very pretty but the surrounding area not so and no visible shops or restaurants, in fact a private fitness and canoe centre in one direction and a private yard in the other. Would have liked to walk along the river but it didn't seem possible. The hotel itself was shabby and in need of a lick of paint. Our room was nice had view over river, air conditioning worked shower was good. Food very average - microwave to table type. Staff not very friendly, helpful or welcoming. After our meal we were told the restaurant closed at 10pm and was locked there was no other place to go as there were no lights on the river decking and so we ended up sitting in a very small and uncomfortable reception area. We left the next morning. It was pretty sitting by the water and relaxing reading and watching the canoeists for one afternoon but we would not go there again. Got the impression that it was busy there on weekends but mid week it was very quiet and we were putting them out being there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking river. We were given a room overlooking rubbish and tyres in the water which i got changed.

Emplacement of the Botel Hotel Lisa is terrible. You have to take bus nb. 23 and tram nb. 2 to get to the downtown. It takes min. 40 minutes to get there.
Botel itself is located on the edge of huge commuterville (?) called Csepel, so if you want to see a real face of Budapest and its people, good choice (do not visit Csepel water spa - it is a crowded and noisy place).
Botel itself is quite and average, air condition is on during the night and in the morning, breakfast consist of white bread, marmalade, nuttela, cheese, margarine and butter, salami, vegetables and tea and instant coffe (milk included).
Count with the fact you cannot join the beds together if you are couple.
And also count with the singing of frogs and other water/land animals and birds during the night. I cannot say it was disturbing, but it can be for people with weak sleep.
My advice: choose hostel in the very downtown if you want to explore the city.

Room Tip: Choose another hostel.

Very reasonable price. A little scruffy and in a shabby neighbourhood, But perfect for us as we were just passing through on our way from the airport to lake balaton. We came late and left early. Not a hotel that you stay at during the day. Breakfast buffet was ok, what we had expected for this price. Wifi was working in the room.

Good value if you want somewhere to sleep very cheap.

What else to say...Ok its too far from city center, the rooms are small, towells were used maybe for thousands and thousands time before we came to botel, the fridge got broken power botton, the breakfast were simple and common and crazy ducks were singing under the window for whole night.....however, people...come we paid 56 € for two nights included breakfast (28 € per person - try to find something similiar to this in Budapest).

So after counting all pros and cons, we were satisfied. The room was clean, the towells and sheets were changed. What else do you need? If you come to Budapest to explore the city and not to lie on bed all the day I highly recommend this botel.

Connection to the city center is very easy, over the Danube (10 mins walk) you can get bus no.23 which is connected with tram no.2. Its very easy and we easily came from city to hotel even at 23:30.

It was a nice area, with the Danube, the kitchen is good, and everybody was nice.
