I had made reservations weeks before hand and was shocked that the restaurant was huge with no customers. I've now started to realize that lunch doesn't seem to be a big thing in Budapest, unlike for example Paris. The upside of this is that we get the best table by the window looking out over the Danube and Pest.
We just opted for a quick lunch with a main course and a dessert. The waiter was superfriendly. I thoroughly enjoyed him. He was also very knowledgable, about the food and wine.
The food was good, but my Foie grad seemed lacking in flavour, and also my wife's lamb which she ordered medium rare was more medium/well-done. It was still delicious however.
