“Good food, flexible staff”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

the food was an excellent, well cooked mix of local and international. What I liked particularly was the helpfulness of the staff. Clearly they are used to large groups, and international variety of people.

“A quick pleasant lunch along the Danube”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

I had made reservations weeks before hand and was shocked that the restaurant was huge with no customers. I've now started to realize that lunch doesn't seem to be a big thing in Budapest, unlike for example Paris. The upside of this is that we get the best table by the window looking out over the Danube and Pest.

We just opted for a quick lunch with a main course and a dessert. The waiter was superfriendly. I thoroughly enjoyed him. He was also very knowledgable, about the food and wine.

The food was good, but my Foie grad seemed lacking in flavour, and also my wife's lamb which she ordered medium rare was more medium/well-done. It was still delicious however.

“Dont try the New Year Brunch”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

What a poor brunch ! 11,000 HUF X 2 persons (70 Euros) for what was the worst brunch we had so far in Budapest in the past 4 years... nothing special, just the normal hungarian food, with the very unpleasant feeling that they served at brunch the left-overs of the previous night new year eve dinner... Nothing looked fresh, tasty... hungarian sparling wine, but not rose one... the salmon and carpaccio looking like a threat to your health... the roasted meat and duck looking re-heated... even the waiters and the musicians looked over-tired, and unhappy to have to work on the first day of 2014... Particularly disappointing, and far below what you can find as normal sunday brunch at Gundle, Marriott, Corinthia and other in Budapest...
