“Central location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

Queens Court Hotel has a central location for all sightseeing. Trams and metro within a few minutes walk. The hotel is light and clean, with a medium size pool and small fitnessroom. We lived in a suite, with a queensize bed, and the room was spacious, with a small kitchenette. This is a Ok Hotel, but those who expect a 5 star hotel will probably be disappointed. Nevertheless - we will probably stay here again.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite well we told we had been upgraded (perhaps because there was 7 of us all guys?!) Top floor out of the way. If the President is thinking about staying in the suite i would give it a miss to avoid massive disappointed! Its more like a 3 - 4 Star Hotel, rooms are outdated and the hotel needs a refresh. Breakfast not worth 12 euros a day... Don't bother go outside and explore the cafe opposite is better and cheaper!

Great location plenty around the hotel. We found service was ok but nothing special. Swimming Pool looks big on the pictures but once you arrive its half the size!

If you want no frills then book away
Budapest amazing place 80p a Pint in places! Cheap Cheap food also

Room Tip: The best suite in the hotel sometimes doesn't give you the best stay

Queens Court Hotel is has a very central location, with both trams and metro within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself, is very charming and clean, with a medium size pool and small fitnessroom. We lived in a normal suite, with a queensize bed, and the room was spacious, with a small kitchenette and balcony. The bathroom was nice and tidy and with lots of storage possibilitys.
We had a very pleasant stay, and appreciated the calmness and cleanliness, but it still wasn't quite as luxurious as we expected, considering it's a 5 star hotel.
Wouldn't mind coming back though.

This hotel is situated in the centre of Budapest and is ideal for visiting the sights. The hotel is very clean, has good facilities and the service is excellent.
Look forward to using the hotel here again.

I was so delighted by this hotel that I decided to write my first TA review - and this on a trip during which we changed several hotels and were satisfied with all of them! Spacious and elegant room (which turned out to be a superior suite!), comfortably furnished and perfectly equipped, pleasant staff, beautiful indoors, underground garage, great spa area, location - leaves no wishes open! Highly recommended!

Hotel has apartment style rooms. We were upgraded when we arrived to the presidential suite apartment on the 7th floor--701. We had two bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a kitchen. It also had a large balcony with a non functioning hot tub. No microwave, no washing machine. It did have a dishwasher, but only 1 pot. It was about 900 square feet or so. Overall, very clean and spacious, beautiful cabinets, large closets, somewhat sparsely decorated--but very, very efficient. Bedrooms were very big.

This is about a 10-15 minute walk from the opera house, and House of terror. Absolute Walking tours is a must, and is behind opera house. It is about 20-25 minute walk from St stepan's. The theatre showing the play Mamma Mia with English subtitles was less than 5 minutes away. Just down the same street is a highly regarded Indian restaurant, which was very tasty. Be sure to order naan, lassi, and rice with your meal.

If you are coming by train, email the hotel, and they can order a taxi to pick you up. Taxi charges the normal fee. Be sure to specify how many are traveling and how much luggage you have. There were 4 of us, so we got a station wagon like car because of our luggage, and that's about the biggest they have. No extra fee for the larger car.

I used the sauna located in the very clean pool. No outside shoes allowed in the swimming area. Just throw on those complimentary slippers provided by the hotel in your room.

Breakfast was a buffet of European and some American dishes. I tried the made to order French toast. It was good but there was no syrup. There was also cake during breakfast. One day it was a carrot cake with a thin chocolate frosting, and it had a salty caramel icing--out of this world!! I would have loved the recipe, but I'm sure the measurements were in grams. Definitely worth the price you pay for breakfast. I looked forward to waking up each day and going down there to eat.

Great service with reservations. I changed dates a couple of times, and they were always polite. They waited until a couple of days before my arrival to ask for a one night deposit to hold the room. Check your email.

We also ate at the chess restaurant for dinner which is located in the hotel. Excellent meal. The pea soup, the salmon, the home made lava cake were all five star.

I loved the place. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony.

We had a 2 bedroom suite which was spacious and air conditioned.
The hotel is quiet, clean and well run. The pool is quite small but clean and was not busy during our stay.
We did not use the hotel for breakfast preferring to buy fresh rolls and use the Suites kitchen. Hotel breakfast is expensive. Kitchens sparce of equipment but ok for snacks etc.
Good selection of restaurants cafés and bars nearby by UK standards also cheap.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
