“A view to die for”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

The hotel is on the Danube half way between Chain Bridge and Margaret Bridge. Directly across from the Parliament building. At night the view of the spotlighted Parliament and the Chain Bridge is breathtaking. The room was spacious and very clean. Amenities are first class, except the air conditioning did not work. The staff is courteous, attentive and helpful. The breakfast was sumptuous. The bed and furniture were comfortable. The hotel is about 15 minute walk Along the promenade to the Chain Bridge or funicular. I would recommend highly.

Room Tip: Get the river view

The hotel is right by the Danube and opposite the Houses of Parliament, so has great views out of the large windows. Also reasonably convenient for getting to places in town (e.g. 15 minute walk to the funicular for Castle Hill or the chain bridge)

Rooms have all the facilities needed (good wifi), though artificial lighting could be better. We had a junior suite, which was very spacious. Bed was very comfortable (and we are very fussy), though the chairs in the room are less so. There is some noise from the trains, which can be a bit disturbing until you get used to it.

Staff were generally very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast is usually busy. Buffet is fine and regularly replenished. Nearly always a queue for coffee - if you are a tea drinker, you can bypass that. Our one gripe was that when tables were cleared all the crumbs were brushed on the floor, and some areas looked very messy.

Bar/coffee area is not atmospheric, but reasonably comfortable.

Overall would certainly consider using again if we return to Budapest.

Room Tip: Well worth paying the extra for a room with a view over the Danube if you are going to spend much ti...

I spent three nights in this lovely hotel on the Buda side of the river, with a view to the Danube and Parliament. The hotel has very high standard rooms with A/C and you can connect your IPod to the TV to listen to your own music while you spend time in your room. The hotel is very clean, tidy and the staff is very helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you wanna experience the beauty of Budapest from just inside your hotel room

Room Tip: Ask for a room with Danube view

I came in group and found out it was a cozy & comfortable hotel to stay-in. Easily accesible from the town. Food was nice. The restaurant cater for European or American and got Japanese food some more. The unique about the room was the toilet & bathroom was not attached together so easy for one to do their business. But the bath tab a bit too small for big people and not convenient. Free wifi at all places in the hotel.

First of all this is a non smoking hotel, and that was great for us. The rooms look great, cleaning is done every day and everything in the room is tidy.
I recommend it for the location, for the people and for the view.
The parking has to be paid, but you can find near to the hotel free parking spaces. The wi-fi works very good and it`s free.

Room Tip: If you want a room with the Parliaments view is a little more expensive, but the rooms with other vi...

Coming quite often to Budapest for business, I always stay in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and rooms are clean & spacious. Buffet breakfast must satisfy everyone.
When you're in a need for a cab, rather call some radio-operated, hotel taxi is usually overpriced.
You'll anyway enjoy your stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk for a river-veiw room with a spectacular view to the Parliament building on the o...
