“Lovely hotel, great staff, excellent location, lovely views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

The hotel was perfect for our 5 day trip to Budapest. What worked well for us was the close proximity to the metro station. Approx 3 minute walk to Batthyany Ter. Station. From here it was easy to get across to the Pest side of the river. Travel is very cheap too. A 3 day travel card got us onto ALL transport (trams, metro, buses) unlimited for approximately 8.00 per person. Hotel itself was very clean and tidy, rooms were excellent and well equipped with everything you might need. The staff are very helpful and friendly and will help with any requests. Hotel has fantastic views. The reception happily changed our room when we realised it only had a shower and no bath. Great hotel all in all.

Room Tip: Ask for a river facing view on a higher floor.

Stayed here for 3 nights in an executive room in July. We had a lovely view of the Danube and parliament building. Our executive room had a nespresso like coffee maker but there were no bathrobe or slippers upon arrival. This was rectified quickly. We got a 20% discount on our restaurant and bar bill with our exec room booking. We had breakfast included in our rate. It's buffet style. The hotel is on the Buda side. Great location. We visited the palace, used the hop on hop off bus, Margaret Island, boat cruise, New York Cafe. We really enjoyed our city break in Budapest. Would definitely recommend stayed at the Novotel.

I booked the Novotel after a river cruise to Budapest and we were very pleased with the room, the staff and the wide array of options for breakfast. The location right on the river is absolutely wonderful and very close to a stop for the tour buses.

The staff is very courteous and they were willing to help us out with any request.

As a couple, we stayed here to watch the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix and were very impressed by the hotel.
Very clean and spacious room and great social area downstairs with view of Parliament. Hotel staff were very helpful also.
Breakfast was very good value for money, however while there is a range of options for dinner, it is slightly more expensive so I would suggest eating out.
Great view and fantastic location. 2 minutes from nearest transport links or 10 minute walk to Castle on the Buda side & 20 minute walk to main tourist area (Vaci St).

I would highly recommend to all friends and family, especially if you want all that Budapest has to offer but in a slightly quieter area.
Thank You, will re-book when we come back :)

I've recently stayed in this hotel while at the Hungarian F1 and for my mothers 50th, and I'm very much enjoyed my stay. The staff are polite, there is English channels and in a very good location. The hotel is located just accross the main road from the Danube river and is only a 5 minute walk from the metro, tram and buses. Theres are lots of restaurants nearby and there's a bridge near by to get into Pest (otherside of Budapest, the hotel is on Buda side). With the metro, getting to the town centre is easy and to other attractions like museums and the parliament building. Also, just outside the hotel is a garage where you can by drinks and other stuff which you might need and just a short walk away is a Spar supermarket with food, drinks and well pretty much everything! In the lobby theres is an Xbox 360 in the lobby and books and general play things, then 2 iMacs to use for free! If anything needs to be improved, its a bit stronger WiFi in the rooms otherwise, this hotel is perfect for everyone, from solo to business!

Room Tip: The rooms are already very good!

This hotel has an excellent view over the danub. Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean but not all of them facing the river. It is a good option for relaxation or business. Staff are decent and gentle. It is surrounded by shopping area or many restaurants.
