Great hotel. The rooms are more like apartments. Staff was nice and helpful. Close to a hop on bus and the city's main train station. Also close to Castro cafe which had great, cheap food.

I've been to Regency Suites 4 times already during 2009-2011.
Almost all of my visits were a combination of business and family.

I was always greeted by the friendly front desk and my room always available with no wait necessary (even when arriving before check-in).
The rooms I was assigned were always very roomy, clean and generally well maintained.
Once I did receive a room with faulty air conditioning but I was shortly given an alternative room once I reported it to the front desk.

The thing I like most about the hotel is the location.
It's close to major tourist attractions such as the shopping street (Vaci Utca), the Jewish heritage sites, the cathedral, and Andrassy Ave. and most importantly - all major transportation methods - the metro, the trem and even the tourist tour bus are right around the corner. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby
It's important to note that even thought it's so central, the rooms are very quiet. You don't hear the street or the other rooms.

My only gripe with the hotel is the breakfast buffet, which could use an upgrade.
It's a rather basic event, and I was expecting more of Hungary's famous pastries.

The rooms are spacious, staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is well situated. There's a subway station nearby as well as the sight-seeing tour bus stop. The shopping street (vaci Utca) is also very close. The breakfast was good but not much of a variety.

I travelled to Budapest on the 7th of March and arrived in a very tired and troubled state due to my journey. Honestly i was not looking forward to the rest of the day and just wanted to be over.

When i arrived at the hotel i was greeted with a smile by a beautiful young lady, and was processed within what seemed like minutes. A hassle free way to arrive. I was so relaxed - what a way to end the day.

The room was larger than any i have seen in my stays here in Budapest till date. Clean, with a fresh scent and with the amenities as they should be and what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

I woke up the next day and went a very tasty and well spread layout for breakfast. Fresh, and not like some places i have seen who basically serve you stale bread and leftovers. After my business meeting for the day i got back to the hotel and looked around the area, whch is located in a great part of Budapest where you can see some interesting sites and the great restaurants.

I have to say the staff seem to be enjoying working here as they have greeted me when then saw me,smiled as if they know me and overall a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

For anyone considering to stay in Budapest either for business or pleasure then i would most certainly recommend this place for both the location and the staff.
