I spent four days in Budapest and stayed at this hotel. It's relatively basic but service is very good. The room was small and toiletries don't get replaced throughout your stay. The other facilities have been mentioned in other reviews so I won't repeat them in mine. However, do watch the stocking of the mini-bar as they tried to charge me for items that weren't even stocked until well into my stay. Not sure if this is incompetent or dishonest housekeeping ...... keep an eye out.
Breakfast is very good with a wide range of hot and cold food and drinks. The hot food is varied from day to day which is nice.
The hotel itself is in a very good location, easily accessible on foot to many of the city's attractions. It's also a five-minute bus or tram ride down to the Danube and all the main attractions around there.
The hotel staff are very good, particularly Adam on reception who deserves a particular mention for his help and general welcome.
One note of caution: DO NOT get an airport car transfer from the hotel as they rip you off at twice the price of regular private transfers. I was charged HUF8,000 each way when you can order a luxury, private car on lots of other sites for HUF4,500 each way.
In general, go with moderate expectations and you will not be disappointed.More
