“Good value, no frills hotel in a good location”
Reviewed 15 October 2012 via mobile

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in October. The hotel contacted us before we left England and we arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport and take us to the Central Green hotel. That all went smoothly, check in was quick. Our room was a good size, clean and perfectly adequate. I brought mini shower gel and shampoo with me and my own travel hairdryer as I knew they were not provided by the hotel. Located on a quiet street between Andrassy and Kiraly it's a really good location. It's not right in the city centre but a 10 min metro ride or half hour easy walk takes you to the centre. Breakfast was very good value, for 3 euro it was coffee, juice, really nice scrambled eggs, boiled eggs lots of bread, yogurts, cheese, meats and sausage. Can not complain for the price! Overall we had a really good stay and for the price and location would definitely stay there again if in Budapest

I went with my dad from 3rd-7th September 2012 and stayed in Central Green Hotel for 4 nights, we went to sightsee Budapest, and Central Green Hotel was a lovely quaint little hotel, with very cheap but good quality food for 3 euros per person (or 2000 forints) so about 2 pounds each.
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, the room was big enough, with a shower, toilet and sink. Overall a lovely little hotel and an amazing trip to the wonderful city of Budapest!

it was a good value hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. The only thing I did not like was the lack of shampoo in bathrooms! Anyway, the service was very good and management people very helpful.
Thanks to them, we ate in a hungarian restaurant which is just 50 meters from the hotel. We tried the best Goulash soup in our lives.

I stayed in this Hotel on a private trip in Budapest. Therefor it was a perfect place becouse it was close to the public transportation and still very quiet, so I could sleep long without beeing disturbed. I liked the breakfast very much, they offered a nice choice. Not everything I like, but still good. All in all, it was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpfull, so recommendable, a greate location for a low budget three star hotel.

This was a very inexpensive budget hotel. The room was quite large, but the accommodations were fairly basic: a double bed with very flat pillows (they can be folded in half to give a bit more support), a television, a small refrigerator (unstocked, but bottled water could be purchased at the front desk), a wardrobe, and a table & chairs. There were two towels folded on the bed, but no soap or other toiletries (and not surprisingly no hair dryer).

The hotel is just a block from the Kodály Körönd‎ metro station on Line 1, roughly halfway between Váci Street and the city park. The walk down to Váci Street takes around 30 minutes, but it's an easy trip on the metro. Single metro tickets can be purchased in cash from the ticket checker at Kodály Körönd station, but it's simpler (and cheaper) to buy a pack of 10 tickets or a 24-or 72-hour pass from ticket booths at larger stations or news kiosks.

Overall, this is a very budget-friendly option. In some ways it's quite basic (e.g. no soap or toiletries), but in others its a step above some 2-star options (refrigerator, room size). While it might not be possible to walk to the main tourist areas, and there are not a lot of restaurant options in the immediate vicinity, It's relatively convenient if you take advantage of the subway.

I stayed here for four nights at a discounted rate of about 45eur per night.

For the price the hostel was good value though the room I had above reception was quite noisy. I had to move rooms to have better wifi signal, though the Internet was fast and free when in range.

The staff were quite pleasant, spoke good English and were willing to help me. The location is close to the central main streets but the area is bereft of bars, caves etc. I came here to recover from a cold and plan writing a book.

Room Tip: Ensure it has wifi and is not too noisy
