“Brilliant service”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

From the moment we entered the hotel the staff could not do enough for us..
We were greeted with their local beer for refreshment but i prefer a red wine and they kindly obliged..
We were taken to our room and he went through the facilities for us and gave me his name for anything else we might need.
They went through the sights with us to see what we wanted to see and would book anything we wanted without hesitation.
Never had such amazing service.
We were only in a basic room and they treated us exceptionally well..
My only negative is that there is no coffee/tea facilities in the room..

There is a major rebuilding project going on in the front of this hotel which beggars the views and people look very lost as they find themselves in the middle of a building site. On the plus side the staff at Lanchid 19 are competent and efficient and kind. As for this hotel there are way too few power sockets and I would eschew the views of the Danube and go for a room at the back

Dear Mike,

thank you for taking the time to write a review on Lanchid 19 design hotel. The street renewal in front of our hotel will soon be over and we will have a wonderful and quiet street leading to one of the major cultural attractions of Budapest, the renewed Castle Bazaar. Till then we provide some complimentary extra services (cab transfer from the garage, welcome drink) for our guests. The reconstruction does not affect the views of our deluxe rooms and panorama suites.
I would like to thank you for the compliments regarding our staff.

I hope next time you will be amazed by our new neighbourhood.

Kind regards,

A simple hotel, excellent value, a quiet location (although the road being closed may have helped with that) only minutes walk form the bustle of the city centre.
From the welcome drink on arrival to the luggage storage at checkout, this hotel and it's staff were perfect for a city break.
Slight downside was the fact that the bar closes at midnight and room service at 11.00 pm, but, a nightcap before returning to the room got over that slight issue.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms at the back of the hotel, stunning view across the city from the front.

Dear Dave,

thank you for sharing your opinion on Lanchid 19 with other travelers. We are glad we contributed to a perfect city break. Unfortunately our bar closes at midnight but our receptionists can help our guests with some refreshing drinks after that time too.
I hope you will soon return to us.

We returned to Budapest this month and enjoyed another nice stay at Lanchid 19. Despite the roadworks on the main road outside the hotel, the room was well sound-proofed and didn't cause us any inconvenience. We enjoyed the complimentary welcome drink on arrival, most satisfying after a long train journey from Prague!

Would definitely recommend and will book again if we ever return to Budapest.

Great little hotel with fantastic views. We stayed in one of the panoramic suites with the rooftop terrace. The view across the danube was spectacular and ideal to relax after a long day sightseeing or to enjoy breakfast.

This is a really nice, elegantly modern boutique hotel at the foot of the Chain Bridge in Buda. We had originally requested a room overlooking the Danube, but there was construction going on in the street in front of the hotel, so we opted for a room in the back which turned out to be right beneath the Royal Castle atop a wooded hill, so it was even more beautiful and atmospheric. There was some construction going on the backside down the street, but we never heard anything even when the balcony door was open, and when it was shut, the room was soundproof. The room was very small, but very attractive, clean and had a whole wall of closet space and shelving which was really convenient. There's cable TV but not much is on. The staff is very nice and helpful and on site 24 hours. You are steps away from the chain bridge, the tram which runs along the river, and the bus or funicular to get up to the Castle area. We never ate at the restaurant but enjoyed tender croissants and excellent coffee at the outside tables (also seating inside the front next to the lobby, as well as a patio in the back). In the basement is a small preserved archeological site. There is supposedly a terrace on the roof, although it was either not open or we never went up there. Next door to the hotel is an excellent restaurant and it is only a short tram ride to many of the other good restaurants in the area and a quick walk across the Chain Bridge to get into Pest. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have a better view and the Chain Bridge is undoubtedly wonderful, but we really enjoyed...

Dear Candice,

thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with other travelers. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay in Lanchid 19 design hotel and were satisfied with the location, the room and the staff. The terraces we have on the top floor belong to the three panorama suites there. They are much bigger than deluxe or superior rooms, with a large bathroom with jakuzzi tub and a terrace overlooking either the Danube or the Royal Castle. I recommend to try it next time, you will definitely enjoy it.

The room was comfortable and the size was good. The internet TV was great although we only found out about the keyboard you could get from reception on check out. The shower was probably the worst part about our room, particularly as on our first morning the water was shut off due to nearby construction - luckily we got our showers in just in time (water ran out as my husband was showering) but the water pressure was almost non existent.

The breakfast is really good, lots of selection - the orange juicer was a nice addition.

The location is nice, although I didn't find much around in the evenings. The construction on the street was a bit of an annoyance due to driving in (sometimes cars didn't have access)
