Dined at Callas this evening with my wife and daughter who is studying in Budapest and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The waiter was attentive, friendly and knowledgable. For example, he helped us find an excellent Hungarian wine to accompany our meal. We all chose meals from the weekly special including duck breast with porto grape sauce, prawns salad and St. Peter's fish in olive crust. Each item was excellently prepared with a modern take on traditional Hungarian cuisine. Dessert was fabulous as we shared a chocolate mousse with merlot jelly and the opera cake (chocolate and coffee). We sat outside on this glorious fall evening and enjoyed the view of the opera house. All in all, this was a special evening.
