“Still good, still like it, but still needs to renovate”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

We keep loving this place, mostly due to its swimming pools and the location, but it definitely needs a renovation as furnitures are getting damaged, some doors are falling off its rails, etc.
Staff is still very polite and helpful, bartender ladies are great.
Food is OK, waiters are polite too.
Manegement should find some alternative way to identify guests instead of the broken, ugly plasric watches which are not wearable by people with taste but impossible to carry in a pocket. A card should be used or they should trust their guests more.
I still believe that it is the best place in Siófok.

We spent 3 days on villa azúr apartman with our son (he's 10 month old). We reserved our room via phone, we asked for a baby bed and a baby tube. When we arrived 2 buses tourist were arrived too so the staff were disorganised. We tried to park our parking spot but somebody already parked there, we arrived at our room and realised that there isn't a baby bed or a baby tube. Nobody tells us that this type of rooms don't have wifi or phone and that we had to ask a remote control to the AC. So we had to call the reception on our mobile to complain, eventually they sent the missing item to our room. Room was very hot we had to use the AC all the time. Bedroom didn't have AC so we had to cool that room from the living room. The room was dirty, we found a piece of "túrórudi" (kind of chocolate) on the floor and bread crumbs everywhere. Our son's feet were dirty after 10 minutes climb...(see the photo). The dinner was poor, not a 4 star hotel's restaurant. The small no name bottle of water's price was too high (600 Forint --- 2 Euros). We couldn't reach the outside swimming pool with the baby stroller there were JUST stairs...I do NOT recommend this place and we won't go there again. It was a big disappointment.

Room Tip: Don't choose any

First,we like this hotel, but yesterday we was my husband the premium wing, because there was a free room only. So,we've had two hours in which room do not open the door. They saw other guests are out of luck.We tasted the swimming pool immediately, until the room has been launched to air conditioner. The pool it was amazing, but nothing jacuzzi. As one outdoor pool is all there is.3I was named after 3 hours of the room and it was very hot.I was call the reception and they said they will wait and this good later..So night we go the room and so very hot..The reception said i wait the mechanic men,but we would like to go diner, but we wait in the room 20 minutes after said, maybe we change the room but just their rooms are more expensive only...So we indicated that it check out and go home. After we payed a check,(4water,4000 ft)and they said sorry and finish..So we dont want go back..

The hotel is a big complex built in the 90s. It's perfect for large group of tourists arriving by bus or people attending conferences.
Room are tiny: small beds and no room to open your luggage; wellness center should be 3200 sqm but we just found a big pool and 2 saunas. The 2 saunas were so crowded that people were standing rather than sitting. I really don't know how this hotel can be rated 4 stars.

Hotel is brilliantly located at Siofok. They have a great pool area, we enjoyed that very much. Rooms are nice, were designed a couple of years ago, but they are clean, and good sized.
Only surprise comes when you go for the lunch/dinner that is included in the price. The food choice is very narrow (1 soup, 1 fish, 1 other main, 2 kind of cakes). Didn't feel like a 4-star quality/choice. At the table they kindly ask you what drinks you would prefer, than they bring it to you. When you finish you realize that you have to pay above average price for that (2 EUR per water) + 10% service fee. The price is normal in 4 star hotels in Hungary, but the food choice is rather 2 star one.
Beside this the venue and everything else is great, they just try to save too much on the menu, and earn too much on the drinks compared to my expectations.

The normal hotel is disillusioning and old fashioned. Restaurant Manager is arrogant and unrespectful.
The Premium section is fine, worth to pay a extra and upgrade. Premium wellness is more like a normal wellness.

Hotel would be a decent deal at 2/3 price charged. Rooms rundown; added charges for "premium" wellness access (nicer pool, etc.) and simple amenities like playing ping pong were disappointing. We did not experience poor service others report -- service staff was helpful and friendly.
