“nice stay, people there are so nice and helpful”
Reviewed 10 September 2012

Sheraton hotel in Bratislava is a nice stay. staff there are so helpful and caring. Hotel is located on a nice place by the river. I used the fitness facilities and they were good. I highly recommend going there :)

Also it is close to the shopping mall where you can go for spending some time there.
You can have a nice walk by the river as well.

Room Tip: i stayed in room 213. it was a perfect room for me because it was in front of the gym ... lol

Updated and modern with all the international Starwood / Sheraton touches you would expect. They upgraded me to a junior suite, which was bigger and certainly more opulent than my first apartment. My colleagues were in standard rooms and said that their rooms were very nice and large so am thinking the rooms are good overall. Pergo wood floors in the rooms with plush rugs in strategic spots like next to the bed so that your toes don't get jarred by the floor. Bath had radiant heated floors, tub and very spacious walk in shower. Room also had another door between the foyer/closet area and the bedroom/living area (had a nice sofa, coffee table and chairs) to keep out any noise from the hall, but there was none so didn't matter.

Hotel is connected to the Eurovea mall, which seems to be the biggest, largest and certainly the nicest mall in Bratislava. Billa grocery store, apothecaries and very nice restaurants surround the hotel making it very convenient. It's also along the river that has been built up with walking/biking paths.

Rooms overlooking the courtyard / central square are great but may be noisy if there are events or lots of people about. It didn't bother me but you could hear a bit of the music bass.

Standard and awful Sheraton bath products so bring your own. Breakfast was subpar. Eggs made to order but really the overall selection was not great and seemed a bit sad.

Club lounge was very nice with evening hors d'ouevres and drinks plus access to the Internet and computers/business center.

Room Tip: View of river is very nice

This hotel seems brand new and is located along the Danube River attached to an upscale indoor shopping mall. The rooms are extremely modern (hardwood floors, large wood closets, bathroom with separate rain shower & tub). I didn't know what to expect in Bratislava from a Sheraton, but the hotel exceeded all expectations. And it is only a 7-10 minute walk from the old city, which is quaint, beautiful, and devoid of tourist throngs.

Located in the new Eurovea shopping and casino centre, while not in the very centre of (old) town, is located in an area that attracts the young and wealthy of Bratislava. The modern shopping centre is full of clothing outlets, but it is the bars, cafes and restaurants that line the river that really make the location. On a sunny day, the place is packed, but there is a wide grassy area in between the river and the crowds, so it should be easy to find a place to sit. Our room was the basic one and came an enormous bed (king size) and nice bathroom with separate bath and shower. The room came with free access to the swimming pool (15 metres?), gym, sauna, steam room, and Link room (internet access). The included buffet breakfast was fantastic for this normally budget traveller with a huge choice of food that was kept well stocked and appetising until the very end of the service time (10:30am). Any type of egg made to order (boiled, fried, omelette, poached and scrambled), pancakes to order, hash browns, home fried, grilled vegetables, tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, sausages, a wide selection of breads, pastries, cold meats, cheese, yoghurt, fresh and tinned fruit, cereal (Kellogg's selection), 7 types of juices, tea, coffee, congee (Chinese rice with toppings) and some traditional Slovak breakfast offerings that we didn't get around to sampling.
The staff were always courteous and helpful, especially Samo who went out of his way to look up various train times for our trip to Brno. We were there a total of 8 nights and enjoyed every moment of it!

Room Tip: I believe all rooms are quiet, but try and get one on the river side for better views.

I stayed in this hotel for four nights while on a business trip. The hotel is very new and is part of a larger development project that includes a beautiful indoor shopping mall. The hotel is situated on the Danube River. The project developers have made great use of the river as they also included a large number of outdoor bars/restaurants as part of the development. The hotel is also within a 15 minute walk of Bratislava's beautiful old city. The hotel itself is very comfortable. The rooms are very spacious, very well appointed, with beautiful hardwood floors. The hotel staff are very polite, courteous, and helpful. I used the concierge service a couple of times and was very happy with the service provided. I can't imagine myself staying anywhere else if I return to Bratislava.

HOTEL REVIEW # 225 Sheraton Bratislava

MY TRAVEL STYLE: If possible, I try to stay away from business hotels and strongly prefer resorts that resemble the Four Seasons, Aman, and Oberoi but try to find similar properties at lower cost. I seek out the “wow” experiences.

LOCATION: Perfect. 7 minute walk to the ‘old town’ and in a new area with great restaurants, a huge mall, and a movie theater. Right on the Danube river.

BEST WAY TO GET THERE: We took a one hour train from Vienna and then a taxi should be no more than 10Euros (they will try to rip you off even when using the meter- do your research). About a 10 minute taxi ride to the hotel from the train station.

TYPE OF ROOM: Suite

BED/SHEETS/PILLOW: Very comfortable beds and pillow with high quality linens.

LIGHTING: Great lighting in both bedroom, living room ,and bathroom.

BATHROOM/SHOWER: Shower is rainshower and handheld with consistent water temperate and medium water pressure. Very large bathroom in the suite.

CLEANLINESS: Entire hotel is very clean and seems very new.

A/C: Didn’t work very well… we were hot one evening which made it difficult to sleep.

STYLE OF ROOM: Great… tons of style and very comfortable. Suite is huge.

COMMON AREA: Very trendy and beautiful. One of the best Sheratons.

QUIET/MORNING LIGHT: Room was very quiet and all morning sunlight could be blocked.

FOOD: Breakfast was very enjoyable with a better than average selection of items.

TV/INTERNET: TV was of adequate size for the room (we didn’t use) and the internet was fast and free for SPG platinum members.

SERVICE: Staff were all very helpful and service was excellent with the exception of one bad employee at breakfast.

SUMMARY: Great location away from the tourists in a newer area on a beautiful section of the river. Great room and location makes this probably the best hotel to stay at in Bratislava. Be sure to have lunch or dinner at UFO restaurant for a great view and a very good meal.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view and a higher floor. Worth splurging on a suite.
