“Somewhat underwhelming”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Not quite a castle, and quite touristy once you're there. It is worth a look though, and it has some nice views.

“Impressive view from the Castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This castle is an absolute must see when you visit Bratislava. The castle grounds are great and offer some nice views of the Danube and UFO bridge. There is a lovely Cafe on the top floor for a cup of coffee and treat.

“Nice castle with great view of Bratislava and Austria”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

The casle itself is very nice and very old. You have to walk a bit to get up but it's not that bad at all and if you have trouble walking you can take a taxi which will drop you off right at the top because there is a road that goes there.

Once you are there the whole castle area is very nice, there are restaurants and cafes, too. There are also a couple of gift shops and for a fee you can go inside the actual castle.

The nicest thing is the view, you can see all of downtown, another part of town across the river and on the right you can see the beginning of Austria.

I like to come here every time I'm in Bratislava.

“Amazing restoration and view!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

I didn't take the tour in the castle, so I wouldn't know if it is worth it. I do recommend waking up to the castle because the view is breathtaking and no one should miss it. And the castle itself is pretty cool, given all the restoration work.

“Take the tour!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

We visited the castle on a dreary day, so not too many crowds. The castle grounds are great and offer some nice views of the Danube and UFO bridge.
We took the tour which cost 6Euro. It gets you in to 3 exhibit. They have a neat gallery showing the rebuilding of the castle, and some pretty neat artifacts as well. The best part of the tour is taking the stairs up the turret. Once you get to the top you'll have some really amazing views. The stairs are fairly steep so keep this in mind if you don't like stairs or have health issues preventing you from climbing.
For the price it was worth the views alone, and getting to see the exhibits are just a nice added value.
