This was my first trip to Bratislava so I was a little apprehensive when choosing a hotel.
I chose Ibis as it was a brand I could rely on, you usually get the standard you expect, this Ibis is no exception. Basic, clean, affordable rooms with a comfy bed. A short walk from the Old Town which is beautiful.
The downsides: No plug sockets near the bed, in fact there are two; one near the door (for the cleaner I assume) and one that the TV plugs into. The A/C was noisy, and so was the city, it was a decision between which noise was more bearable. Also having no kettle in room was unexpected but the bars serves good coffee for 2 Euros.
I would like to add an extra thanks to the reception ladies. I erroneously booked my room for a different week but they swiftly sorted my problem out and I had a room in no time.More
