This Old Town area is happily diverse, with various styles of architecture, lots of eateries, pubs, and always something Quirky to see.
We were there, unknowingly, during the 2019 World Ice Hockey Championships, and the small city was packed with crowds of jersey wearing sports fans. Lovely small town, and up and comer, it's Not a Perfect Jewel, but on it's way. Some buildings, a bit tarnished, need some scrapping, new paint, and fixing up, but it's really quite a delight. We spent 2 1/2 days strolling around, and were glad we worked this into our itinerary.
Some area's better than others, and some are reportedly not good to go into at night. But we certainly had no problem, in daylight hours, as we're not night owls.

The old town is beautiful, small enough to explore in a few hours, but I find something new every time I'm there.

It’s like stepping back in time hundreds of years.
Amazing. Every place you walk and around every corner is something else you have to stop and explore. Perfectly preserved and well worth a half day or more of your time!

Great place to walk around. Thoroughly recommend. Not too touristy like many capital cities. Lots to offer

Very interesting and compact old Town, with a lot of people walking around, and many shops and restaurants. Michalska 's tower is the real center with the "zero point" under. But be careful!!! The most shops are tourist traps with overpriced food and souvenirs.
